Advice Please. Getting baby to use a bottle

Hello.  If anyone can offer some tips or advice, I would appreciate it.  DD is a champion at nursing, but not so much with a bottle.

DS had no issues with switching from bottle to nipple from 2 weeks old, so I'm at a loss with DD.  She is 3 weeks old.  I've tried the Medela bottles and the nipple that came with them, but I'm going to go get the newborn nipple for the bottles tonight.  Besides changing the flow on the nipple from the bottle and knowing she might be needing another week or so to understand going from bottle to breast, do you have any other suggestions?

I love nursing, but our family business requires me to be away from the home quite a bit, so I want to get her ready for when she goes to childcare.  That and the fact that her latch and suck is super strong, my boobs just need a break once or twice a day!

TIA!!

You might try a different kind of bottle or have your DH feed her the bottle for now until she gets used to taking it. It may be weird for her if shes used to nursing with you and then you're feeding her breastmilk from another source. Just a suggestion.

The only bottles my LO would accept (at 6 weeks we switched to bottles during the day), were the Nuk bottles. After 4 weeks now, he'll eat from any bottle and I still BF at night. I've heard from several articles that the Nuk nipples mimic BFing the best. GL!

you might need to try a ton of different bottles and nipples until you find something that works for her. My SIL and brother's little girl is 6 months old now but when my SIL was returning to work, they went through weeks of worry b/c their daughter would only nurse and wouldn't take a bottle. They finally found one that worked (dr. brown's I think?) and she's been fine ever since.

Have you tried giving her a bottle in the morning?  At 3 weeks, we tried a bottle of pumped milk for the first time in the evening and DD choked a little and then screamed and refused to take the bottle.  The next morning when she was really hungry she was much more receptive and ended up drinking the whole 2 oz.

We went to church about an hour away the next day (to visit family) and I pumped in the car on the way and she ended up letting ME feed her from the bottle during church.  We've only breast fed in the 4 days since, and she has had no "confusion" after the couple of small bottles.
