I guess this is my RE's week to get everything together before stimming starts.  Had my sono and culture yesterday, had consent signing/med teach today, tomorrow is mock transfer and ultrasound to check lining.  

i have to apologize for my freaking out the past few nights on here and turning a panic attack into a desperate plea for replies that i would indeed survive this.  :)

i feel so much better after the consents were signed and the deposits were put down.  i didn't realize how much that was stressing me out.  i think the only other thing i am stressed about is calling the clinic's main location to schedule the sperm freeze for a back up incase hubby can't produce the day of retrieval.  (had bad experience with office chick from that location and not crazy about them).  Aside from that med teaching went pretty well (with the exception of her confirming that the 22 gauge needles were indeed for my HCG and PIO shots.  (ouch!).  they gave us a little pretend square of skin to velcro on my butt and hubby practiced with an IM needle several times (of course making a "blow dart" sound with his mouth each time since he heard "dart like motion" from the videos).  Thank god the nurse told me i can ice before them!  I'm excited to start the lupron in another week  or so and happily looking forward to growing those follies!  
Me (37) DH (39); Finally correctly diagnosed with DOR in 2012; Started TTC 2009; RE 2009/2010- RE cycle #1 clomid+ ovidrel + TI = BFN; RE cycle #2 clomid + ovidrel + TI=BFN; RE cycle #3 femara + ovidrel + IUI= BFN; RE cycle #4 75iu follistim + ovidrel + IUI= BFN; RE cycle #5 150iu follistim + ovidrel + IUI = BFN ; Took a break and had Weight loss surgery in 2011, back to new RE in 2012 ; AMH 0.43 IVF #1 /ICSI and AH; MDL protocol - ER 2/11 5R, 3M, 2F Three day transfer of 8 cell grade 3 and 8 cell grade 2 embryos. BFN. RPL testing shows homo MTHFR and hetero PAI-1. IVF #2 antagonist-ER 5/14 8R 6M 5F. Three day transfer of 3 embies. 6 cell grade 3, 4 cell grade 2, 5 cell grade 3. Beta #1 at 11dp3dt is 190, Beta #2 at 13dp3dt is 363. U/S scheduled for June 13. In shock and so very hopeful. U/S showed 2 heartbeats in same placenta measuring 113 and 115 bpm. DH - all clear. Me - Unicornuate Uterus discovered at HSG 8/16/12. Referred for IVF 8/28/12. Approved for IVF Warranty Program 10/2/12. Laparoscopy 11/1/12 - removed right rudamentary horn, both tubes, left ovarian cyst and endometriosis. Given all clear for pregnancy after 1/1/2013.
IVF cycle 1 starts 1/19/13!
12 eggs, 7 mature and all 7 fertilized - 2 Frosties!!
5 day SET 2/4/13 - Beta 2/13: 86 & 2/15: 186 BFP!!!!

February 1st 150 follistim 2x daily and menopur 150 each night, lupron 10 units 2x daily started on Jan 30th.  

 

i've taken follistim before but never menopur.

Don't feel bad.  I'm already having nightmares about my cycle.   I woke up freaking out!!!
Me; 35 DH 32 TTC for over 2 years First mini-IVF Sept 2011... Only 1 egg! ... BFN Switching RE IVF#2 May 2012 9 eggs and only 2 sperm, WTH! BFN IVF#3 Chemical... FML. 2 frosties. SAIF/PAIF ALWAYS WELCOME!!!!!

I wouldn't ice the area your doing the PIO in. Just a suggestion I have heard from other ladies and it makes sense. If you I've your butt it's cold. Then you inject oil in your cold but and it tends to not absorb as well and just turn in to a lump in your butt. I've heard rubbing the filled syringe in your hands for a few minutes to warm it up before giving it, have DH rub a tennis ball around the injection site to help it absorb, sit on a heating pad or a hot shower after getting the shot. I know this is not what your post is about but just thought I would give a suggestion.

I'm not sure - this is my first cycle. My RE told me we are taking an antagonist approach (also not sure what that means, haha)

Isn't the whole purpose of this board to have support for those freak-out moments?  Good luck on your cycle.  We have injection class tomorrow, I'll be on the look-out for sound effects!
