Dropping the before-bed feed

Has anyone else's LO dropped their before bed feed?? My dd has only spent a maximum of 2 minutes the last few nights nursing before bed. She goes to sleep on her own and STTN so she doesn't need it for sleeping but I'm not sure if she's too young to not have this before-bed-milk, she's almost 10 months. Any advice would be great :)

Our DD did the same thing a few times (she's FF).  But we always offer it.  Sometimes she drinks a whole bottle, sometimes only an ounce.  I will keep offering it until its consistently refused or I guess until she's a year and doesn't get bottles anymore.

I'd ask your pedi when he/she wants to you to start dropping this. You want to make sure your LO is getting enough BM until a year old. That's my 2 cents.

Yea, I don't understand why you would even try - especially before age 1. It might only be 2 minutes but for an older baby who efficiently nurses, that's still some milk. Babies need to be nursing multiple times a day until at least age 1. They don't need to be done nursing/bottles BY one.

My daughter stopped taking a before bed bottle around 6 months. She's just not interested in drinking right before bed. I don't like to eat right before bed either, so I totally understand it. I would follow your LOs cues. If she's not interested and nurses several other times during the day, I don't see any reason to force it.

Our lo just dropped his within the last month.  He eats three meals a day, plus a morning bottle (he's ff).  He also does an occasional afternoon bottle as a snack.  One night, he fell asleep without it and we never looked back.  Dinner is about an hour before bed, so I don't think he's real hungry by bedtime.
