Have you ever switched back and forth between formula brands?

I use target brand similac sensitive and have switched back and forth between name brand and generic to use up samples with no problems.  But I recieved some enfamil samples and am wondering if I could use those without causing issues.  Anyone done this?

Ive only switched between enfamil brands. I don't know if its worth taking the chance of upset tummy and what not just to use up some samples?? What I do with the sample packets is keep them in the diaper bag for emergencies...in case I forget to bring a bottle.

I wouldn't be switching back and forth all the time to just use up samples. Donate them to a local women's shelter so you know they will be put to good use.

Our pediatrician said not to switch back and forth.  If you need to switch once, that's fine, but don't go back and forth.

I agree with pp and donate your samples.

I had called my LO doc and she told me not to switch between brands.

Thanks guys. I kinda figured.  I'll be sure to donate, formula gets expensive.

I ran out of the Gerber one we had, and I started using the Enfamil one we have for a back up. He took it fine, but it upset his stomach a little bit. I think my LO is fine.

I've mainly used Similac b/c I have a ton of samples however I like the Enfamil travel packets that come in 4 oz increments so I keep those in our diaper bag and I also used them last weekend when we went on a short trip to Florida. We're going back next weekend and I plan to use them then also - they are great on the plane. I haven't seen any issues in LO with doing this.
