What can go wrong at a FET baseline appointment?

I have my FET baseline tomorrow and I'm thinking it's one not to worry too much about, I hope? What can I expect? I'm a little freaked out thinking they'll find something that will delay everything.

AF hasn't come yet even though I feel all crampy, and while the RE says it will be fine without AF having shown, it seems weird to me since they do a lining check and my previous lining would still be there, right? Ive been surpressing with lupron and BCPs.

Also, I know in an fresh cycle, I'd be worried about things like cysts to delay things. Anyone run into hiccups at their baseline that they care to share? or give me a run down of what usually happens at these things?

I think I'm traumatized by my fresh cycle during the summer and am always braced for the worst.

Me: POF/DOR - AMH <0.16, heterozygous c677t MTHFR
DH: Severe MFI
12/2/11 - IUI #1- BFN
8/1/12 - IVF #1 - Zero response from max stims (600iu intramuscularly)
My ovaries seem to be just for decoration

12/6/12 - Adopted five embryos that had been frozen for over ten years!
2/11/13 - Thawed four, sadly two didn't survive. Transferred two beautiful blasts.

2/16/13 - First BFP of my life!
3/27/13 - No heartbeat at 9w0d. D&C the following day.

4/23/13 - Matched to adopt five new embryos!

I not sure what they are checking for your appt. But my FET baseline is also tomorrow and they are checking my lining to see if it is thick enough so I can start my progesterone. Also my FET is scheduled for the 24th.

Well.... I had mine today and everything has now been pushed back a week because I have a cyst on my right ovary. 

My last FET, I was still bleeding, and they checked to make sure I was suppressed and my lining was thin. And then I was given directions on medications. They had lowered my Lupron and gave me a calendar that showed when to start the Estrace and Medrol and Doxy. Then the next lining check was to make sure the lining was thick enough to do a transfer.

I had mine yesterday and we call it a baseline. AF was coming but didnt show till a few hours after the u/s. My lining was a 3. something. She said that was fine since I was going to bleed. I also had a small amount of fluid that she said was normal because AF was coming. I had no cysts and blood levels were good. If you have been on BCP I would think everything would be just as it should be. Try not to worry. Good luck tomorrow.

Thanks, even if it is good news on beta day, I just feel like it's not going to get very far, as per what my past says...  But, I'm holding on to the itty bit of hope I may have left somewhere. Thank you.

Aw, Daysie...I know. *hug* I'm just saying that your take home baby has to start with a positive beta, and I hope this beta is the beginning of just that - your take home baby(ies). I want this to be it for you.

12/2/11 - IUI #1- BFN
8/1/12 - IVF #1 - Zero response from max stims (600iu intramuscularly)
My ovaries seem to be just for decoration

12/6/12 - Adopted five embryos that had been frozen for over ten years!
2/11/13 - Thawed four, sadly two didn't survive. Transferred two beautiful blasts.

2/16/13 - First BFP of my life!
3/27/13 - No heartbeat at 9w0d. D&C the following day.

4/23/13 - Matched to adopt five new embryos!

FET is so much easier. my RE doesn't care if there are cysts on the ovaries bc the ovaries are sitting this one out.

i only had monitoring after being on estrace and before upping the estrace to 3x a day. they wanted to measure my lining and get estrogen level (they wanted above 100 and mine was 298).

super minimal compared to ivf

I had mine on Tuesday.  Not sure what they were checking for.  I assumed cysts on the ovaries.  They also checked E2.  Good luck! 

Sounds like we have a bunch of FETs in Feb :)  Exciting!!

Married June 2011
Dx: anovulatory due to prolactinoma (1.5cmx 1.5cm in 2006)
April 2012: MRI- questionable cyst 8mg by 12mm in pituitary
referred to RE by Ob-gyn after amenorrhea x 4+ months, provera ineffective, low estrogen level
cycle 1: May 2012, clomid 50mg; cycle cancelled, thin lining, no response
cycle 2: June 2012, femara 5mg; cycle cancelled, no response
cycle 3: July 2012, femara 7.5mg; cycle cancelled (largest folli on Cd12 & cd 16: 11, lining 4)

Aug. 8: met with RE, move to injectables if HSG and SA normal
Aug. 23: HSG all clear; DH- perfect
Switched to a new RE in early Sept. IVF here we come
Genetic testing reveals: Fragile X- Intermediate risk/grey zone.
IVF#1: ER 11/30: 14 retrieved, 10 mature, 7 fertilized. E2 prior to trigger 5200. Decision made to freeze 6 embryos and transfer later due to OHSS.
IVF#1.2/FET #1: estrogen injects start 1/18, FET delayed to try to thicken lining. lining 5.4mm. FET- 2/18- transferred one 3AA expanded blast. BFP 5dp5dt. Beta #1- 2/27 9dp5dt- 102.27 beta #2 3/1: 147 :(, beta #3 3/4: 268 stop meds. #4: 269, #5 133, #6 72, still in beta hell. Beta 7 (3/25) 29.

My 1st appointment with RE for this FET was just for E2 levels to make sure I was suppressed enough to begin estrogen. I was then on 1 pill for 3 days, 2 for 3 days and I start 3 a day Saturday in addition to the daily lupron. I have my lining check Monday and I assume bloodwork...E stops Wed. and PIO starts Thurs. boo!
