Do you think any of these Bert names will ever make a comeback? I know many of us like AoGG, but I never see Gilbert on anyone's name list.

No lie-- one of my closest girl friends-- a HUGE AoGG fan has Gilbert as her top boy pick.  Her DH is on board, and they plan to call him Gil.

Granted, she isn't KU yet, but she swears up and down this is the plan.

I honestly think that Gilbert is adorable, especially with the nickname Gil.

I would also like to make Herbert  my dark horse candidate for a comeback.  There's something very sweet about it to me. 

Bert on its own is too ...unibrow.

I am starting to really like Bertram, in a nerdy grandpa way. 

I also have Albert in mind as a potential pick for the royal baby (if a boy), in which case I think it`ll have a big comeback.

I love Gilbert - I was obsessed with Anne of Green Gables when I was a kid, so the name brings back romantic thoughts of Gilbert Blythe.

And Gilbert Grape...mmmm...Johnny Depp....

I think Albert and Gilbert are very nice names, no used very often anymore.

I had a Prof with the first name Berthold.  We all called him Bert.

My grandfather was a twin and his name was Albert and his twin was Egbert. So I like Al but that's purely sentimental. I don't think they'll be back.
