if i dont get KU this month....

*sigh* i could use some encouragement. DH will be gone for work related training all next month in another state, and leaves for a deployment the next month. so basically if i dont get KU this month, then im SOL until he comes back in a year. im sad about this. I am in the middle of cycle 3, which i know isnt anything compared to as long as many of you have been trying, but with DD1 we got pregnant the first time we tried so i guess i had unrealistic expectations of getting pregnant right away again.

DD is 16 months and i really was hoping to have our 2nd as she was turning 2 or around then, but now its looking like she will be at least 3.

this is basically just a woe is me mini vent, sorry, but just looking for some support on having to put our TTC plans on hold! im sad :-(

I'm sorry! Maybe this will be your month! Having two kids almost 3 years apart is pure anarchy from my experience. Everyone's different and to some having them closer together would be a cake walk. I'm just saying, you might be all set if they're more like 3 years apart after all. And if you wait until he gets back in a year, will he be able to be around for the entire pregnancy? If so, that might be ideal too. Just random rambling thoughts here. GL!

its never certain when his next trip would be so im not sure if he would be here the next time. but i guess i should look at it in a positive way that i would have more time to spend with dd without having to share it with the next lo! thanks for the advice.

I know everyones different but personally I would not want to be preg. When my dh is deployed. I would want him there to share in the experiences and for support. But you never know, this might be your cycle!

OP please take out your husbands deployment date. It's against OPSEC.

Deployment suck. See siggy. You'll get through it though. Good luck!

Ditto this! It doesn't just protect your husband, it protects all who are deploying with him. It's not your info to share.

Also, I am pretty sure TriCare covers some IF treatments maybe fib about how long you've been trying and see if you can get a doctor to IUI for a few months after he's gone?

Are you flipping kidding me?!? That is a TERRIBLE idea!

No, Tricare does NOT cover IF treatments, only testing.

Your comment is a complete slap in the face to someone who is actually struggling with IF.

Me and my sister are almost exactly 3 years apart. We are super close and in my own opinion it is the perfect gap. I hope to have mine close to 3 years apart as well. Sorry that things aren't going as you want, but I'm just pointing out that plan B may also be just as good.

Sorry to hear, but I know how it feels! I'm in my 2ww of our 10 month of trying and my DH leaves for work in 6 days for a 24 day shift, then he'll only be home for 3 days before he goes back again for another 24 days, so I know the next few months will be impossible for us. He'll be 6hrs away in a camp, on one of Canada's worst highways to drive, and he refuses to let me drive up when needed for "O".

Sorry I guess this doesn't help, but it will all work out, you'll be prego before you know it with #2.

You know how what feels? YH being gone for a few weeks for work does NOT equal how someone feels when their husband is going to deploy to a war zone for a year. I bet you get to talk to your husband everyday. It doesn't work like that with a deployment. The OP may go days or weeks without hearing from her husband. Please do not compare YH going away for work to a deployment. They are not even remotely comparable. Does a work trip suck? Yes. Will you miss him? Yes. Is it fair to say you know how a deployment feels because YH goes away for work? NO.

AWFUL advice! I know zero about TriCare so I can't comment on what's covered, but lying about IF to try to get pregnant sooner? Nope! I am so sorry that your husband is deploying and that your TTC plans would have to go on hold for a while.... but there are so many women who are actually struggling with IF. Impatience does not equal infertility!

That said, I really do wish you luck this cycle! And sending T&P's to you and your H while he is away!

You're right, that was not very good advice.  Sorry!  I was just struggling to find some way, since I know how frustrating it can be to hear your whole life is sort of "going on hold" when the military decides your guy is needed elsewhere for awhile.

Apology accepted.

I know how much it sucks first hand. MH and I tried for nearly 2 years before he deployed this past time. I ended up doing all of my testing in the months after he left so that we could do our first IUI during his leave. That IUI was a BFN and I then needed to wait another 6 months until he came home for good. The waiting sucks, but in the end it was worth it.
