Because I think I'm Superwoman (RANT)

So I'm going to a girlfriend's tonight to meet her new baby girl.  I swear I'm okay with it.... I SWEAR.... ::fingers crossed::

So I pull up to Babies R Us to get her a little something and I text a friend and I'm like "OMG - BRU - tear tear tear" but really, I'm okay.  Really this time!  

And then I walk in.   "You cannot be the woman who breaks into hysterics in BRU" is what I kept repeating to myself over, and over, and over again.  Even the woman pulling her hair out in aisle 3 trying to manage her rowdy kids wasn't enough to not make me wish I was shopping for myself.  

::sigh:: If I were a crayon I'd be GREEN WITH ENVY.

I can SOOO relate! 2 friends had babies this week and 2 more pregnancy announcements. I can barely walk by the baby section in Target without tears!!
Me - 35 DH - 37 SD - 10
Married 10/8/2011
Started TTC July 2011. Infertility workup July & August 2012.
DH - all clear. Me - Unicornuate Uterus discovered at HSG 8/16/12. Referred for IVF 8/28/12. Approved for IVF Warranty Program 10/2/12. Laparoscopy 11/1/12 - removed right rudamentary horn, both tubes, left ovarian cyst and endometriosis. Given all clear for pregnancy after 1/1/2013.
IVF cycle 1 starts 1/19/13!
12 eggs, 7 mature and all 7 fertilized - 2 Frosties!!
5 day SET 2/4/13 - Beta 2/13: 86 & 2/15: 186 BFP!!!!

Online shopping for BRU is best in these situations! I love shopping for my nieces but really have a hard time in BRU....so online shopping it is!

Diagnosis: Annovulatory
Nov&Dec-Provera because of no period after 35+ days
First RE appt 1/10/2013
Tests: TSH (normal), Prolactin (normal), SA (very slightly abnormal- RE not concerned)
Hysteroscopy (normal) and PCOS labs (negative/normal) 1/15/2013
2/1/13- HPT BFP but Beta Hcg was negative
4/4/13: Started Femara 5mg + Trigger + IUI#1= BFN
5/9/13- start Femara 7.5mg + Trigger + IUI#2= ???

2.5 years of IF have taught me well pick up assorted baby blankets on sale a Marshalls on one of your strong days. Hide them in a cardboard box in the closet. Blanket from the closet target gc at the register = done without ever having to go near the baby aisle.

IVF with ICSI February 2013; single blastocyst 5dt
First beta March 1 is 147!!!

I was given the pleasure of buying diapers for my husband's co-worker for his "poker game/man's baby shower".

I was pissed at the store and cried when I got home

You are a strong woman for even going in the store.  I get misty driving by it!  I would just grab a card from my card box somegave gave me a few years ago, put a $20 in it and avoid the pain.

me-36 PCOS, Tubal Problems, and polyps removed 7-12
DH - 36 extremely handsome and no fertility problems
IUI 8-12 and 9-12 failed
IVF 12-21-2012 - 2 I think perfect no matter what the dr graded them (2B)embryos transferred Beta on 12-31-12 Positve - Beta is 21
Beta 2 1-2-13 - 31
Beta 3 1-4-13 - 53
Beta 4 1/9 - 212!
Ultrasound 1/10 - Nothing completely empty uterus Beta 1/14 - 743; Beta 1/17 - 1704 ultrasound shows nothing. Officially a miscarriage. 1/21 Beta 3900 Dr. says it ectopic. Ultrasound shows a miracle heartbeat right in the uterus where it belongs! Dr. says I can be cautiously optomistic!!! Hang in there baby!

smart girl! It's never easy having to go in there for gifts. I went to my best friend's baby shower last year  the morning I got my BFN from IUI #2. We really are gluttons.

We're about to start an IVF cycle and have a niece's birthday party that will fall right around beta.  I bought and wrapped her gift last week so that if we get a BFN I won't have to deal with child-related shopping.  I learned that trick on here.  Think ahead about when you might be most vulnerable, then get any shopping done ahead of  time.  It's all about taking care of yourself.
