This is such a crazy subject on these boards and seems to come up every day or every other day. Everyone likes to tell you what is best, but what is best for them may not be best or ideal for you.
Of course, your safe bet is to go get the shot. Sure, you may feel some of the symptoms anyway, you may feel pain it that arm or you may simply not want to get it due to fear of needles... but the idea here is how minimal this suffering would be compared to the flu itself.
With that said, IF you get the flu shot, you need to realize there is still the possibility of coming down with the flu (yes, much slimmer chance, but I'm just pointing out the reality). From what I understand, the major complications for you or baby are typically due to those cases where people do no act quickly. The fact of the matter is... flu shot or no flu shot... its no laughing matter and as long as you take the means neccessary to stay hydrated, keep your tempature down and get back to health as quickly as possible, you will likely be just fine. Notify your doc at the first sign of symptoms!
Good luck in your decision!
