Belly band

Hey everyone! I'm 17w and my pre preggo pants are starting to feel pretty tight. I think I'm going to look at getting a belly band, does anyone have any suggestions on what brand they like best?? I don't want to spend a ton, but any suggestions are appreciated!! Thanks ladies!

I like the bella band. I have a few and the tummy sleeve from motherhood is way afordable. but only come in black and white. I got a brown one and a pink one from bella. Amazon had the best prices.

Check ebay. I bought one from a lady who makes them for about $5. Worked great and I think it's ridiculous to spend more on a single band of fabric. :o)

I bought the bella band from Target, and really hated it because it rolled a lot, and smooshed my jeans into my expanding belly. I found a hair tie tied around the button hole and looped around the button to be much more comfortable. But the bella band was only $16, so maybe give it a try, tons of ladies on here like it.

The one from Target has worked just fine for me, I would suggest getting 2, I found that after wearing it a couple times it loses it's "tightness".  Mine is kind of falling apart and sometimes can be a pain, however, it's nice to have!!!!  especially when you get maternity jeans and you aren't quite in them yet, it helps to keep them up!

I saw the Bella Band at Target for like, 16 dollars, but ended up buying 2 Belly Sleeves from Macy's for about 18 dollars. They've been great for me so far! My only issue was the elderly sales lady who followed me out of the store to tell me that I could hurt my baby by wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes. I was like, HELLO, that is half the purpose of the product I just purchased from you! So I can wear my pre-pregnancy clothes unbuttoned! That's what it says on the package! Haha, I highly suggest them. :)

I have the Bella band as well. To be honest, it is kind of annoying since I have to keep adjusting everything I stand up. I am going to get those pants extenders.

I'm a huge fan of the Bella Band. I love the rubber along the bottom--it keeps your pants up really well.

I like my Bella Band for certain pants, but for jeans, the hair-tye works best, IMO. I don't like having to straighten and readjust every time I stand up.

First of all, I'm jealous that you're 17w and your pre preggo pants are just now starting to feel tight. Mine got tight around 12 weeks.

I tried the BeBand from Target ($16?) but didn't care for it, I felt like you could still see the unfastened part of the pants through the band to tell that I was wearing unfastened pants with a band over it. I just retired my last pair of pre preggo pants this week and went straight to maternity pants instead. Belly bands are so cheap it's worth a try to see if you like it, though.

To the PP who said it smooshes your pants into your body, have you tried putting on the band, then pants over it, then folding the top over the outside of your pants?

I have a Bella band so far I really like it. I don't have much of a natural waist, which helps. The only time I adjust it is in the bathroom.

I bought mine from Target and love it.  I wear it every.single.day with my suits.  It does not work for me with jeans though.

At 17 weeks I'd just skip it and go straight to maternity shopping.  Smile

I had the same problem. I hate the bella band from Target. I bought 2 and probably used them both about 2times each.

I didn't like it at all! I could see the button and zipper outline clearly through the belly band. It seemed too obvious to me. I preferred to switch to maternity pants because it was a lot more comfortable than worrying about whether or not my pants looked like they were falling off through the band lol. Then again, I was more self conscious at that point bc I was still hiding it from my coworkers and bosses. Now they all know so I guess it wouldn't matter as much.

I got the one from Target with my 1st pregnancy.  It was OK...didn't wear it that long.  This time, I got the Bella Band from Ingrid and Isabel on sale, and I love it.  I still have no problem wearing non-maternity pants at this point in my 2nd pregancy using wearing the Bella Band.  I recommend, for whatever brand you choose, tucking the bottom half into your pants and rolling the top part over your pants button when you're still on the small side.  It prevents the band from riding up.

Everyone told me to buy the belly band and I hate it.

My pants don't stay up if I sit down or lie down, I have to contently readjust things. I heard they have things that keep it attached to your pants and I would definitely go with the one with the rubber around it to keep everything in place. Today I bought some maternity pants and I feel so comfy I can move so freely I forgot what that felt like.

My pants would fall down and my zipper would dig into me, so I was on maternity clothes at week 12ish.
