CA peeps can you come in here?

So I am re-researching RE's in CA and wanted to know if anyone has heard good or bad about Santa Monica Fertility.....and also feel free to give me any recomendations! Smile

I would not recommend Southern CA Reproductive Center, if you PM me I can tell you more. I am not familiar with Santa Monica Fertility but have had great things about Huntington Reproductive Center. I know they have an office in Pasadena but may also have one on the westside somewhere. I know live in CO so I am with a clinic here but was with SCRC for two years.
Me: 33, Hypothalamic Amenorrhea, DOR (AMH .35), DH: 38, Borderline low morph
5/09- Off BCP, 5/09-9/09- No period, 9/09-9/10- Lots of Tests & accupuncture
10/10 and 11/10- 2 rounds of Menopur + TI= BFNS
12/10-IUI #1 Menopur = BFN
1/11- IUI #2 Menopur = BFP, 2/11 missed mc at 9 weeks, D&C
5/11- Operative Hysteroscopy to remove uterine septum
6/11- IUI #3 Menopur = BFP, 8/11 missed mc at 11 weeks, D&C
1/12- Lap and Operative Hysteroscopy to remove uterine septum (again) & scar tissue
2/12- Stint Removal, 3/12 repeat SHG and HSG- showed scar tissue blocking right tube
4/12- Operative hysteroscopy (again), RE said he can now see right tube (yay!)
5/12- Stint removal, 6/12 repeat SHG and HSG-both tubes are open!
8/12- IUI #4 Bravelle = BFN
9/12-IUI #5 Bravelle = BFN
1/13- IVF #1, micro-flare protocol, 7R, 6F, 5dt of 2 AA embryos, 1 to freeze = BFP
Beta #1: 176, Beta #2: 422, EDD 10/8/13- it's TWINS!

I haven't heard anything about Santa Monica but I've heard not so great things about Pacific Reproductive Center. After a TON of research we went with Dr Acacio and are really pleased thus far. They aren't the cheapest but so far have been wonderful. I live in the South Bay and since Dr Acacio is in Laguna Niguel it's not close. They're follow up and follow thru is amazing. It's just a little annoying that you have to pay a $500 fee not billable to insurance to start your treatments. But you can call your nurse 24 hours a day if you need to and they will come into the office on weekends and holidays if they need to. I try to think of it as I'm paying for the exceptional service they have been giving us so far.

I just noticed you were in Bakersfield. I believe they have another office out there.

Yes they do! I actually meet with him last year? or year before? and unfortunally with his prices and the fact that we had to add DE it was soooo much OOPIck! But if push comes to shove I am considering all my options...

That's where we were with him. They will even say that they aren't the most competitively priced RE but they have great success rates.  Their embryologist has been doing it for over 20 years and apparently is really good as well. Luckily we do have some insurance coverages so I wanted to go for who I thought would be best and pay the difference. He is out of network for me. On another note- he did a fluid ultrasound on me last month and has a really good looking resident doctor. Hahaha. Not that it matters- but ya know.   :)

I'm seeing Dr. Sueldo/Dr. Synn at Women's Specialty & Fertility at Clovis Community. I really love the girls in the office! Communication is not at a 10 all the time, but they will sit down with you and go over everything in your chart and ask your opinion about what you want to do next, which I like! And I always ask a million questions that they will take the time to answer!

I'm in Tulare so I have to drive the 50minutes into town for my appointments, not sure if you're able to do that since you're farther away.

Either way, I hope you find one that you like!
