Mitchell's Fish Market is "our" place for nice dinners out. Love that place! But the name for a child - nope, not a fan. I do NOT like Mitch.

It also reminds me of Dennis the Menace.  lol

I love Mitchell, but don't love Mitch. I knew a Mitch in high school - be careful when playing the "name game"! I agree with PP that Mitchell just seems better suited as a middle name.

While it's not a favorite name of mine I'd never consider it to be trashy or anything.  It's a fine name, though I'm not a huge fan of the NN Mitch.

ADORE it!   But we couldn't use it because my cousin's kid has this name.  He's a teenager who rides dirt bikes, horses and plays football in Texas.  Solid, manly name that will age very well into adulthood!

I don't really associate the name with anything in particular.  If I heard it used on a baby I would just think, Wow, what an awesome underused name.

I've always really liked the name Mitchell. The only problem I have is because my cousin, who has speech problems, cannot pronounce it properly and called my friend Mitch, B**ch instead.
