rock n plays

Does anybody use rock n plays as a bassinette of sorts? Does your baby sleep through the night in it?

We used it for the first three weeks for both day and night, and yes she slept through the night in it.  She still naps in it and recently, at over 3 months, we had her sleeping in it at night again because she was congested, but she is getting too tall for it now.  Every baby is different, though.

He slept in it from birth to about 7 months, and he starting sleeping in longer stretches (12 hours at night, waking once to eat) at about 3 months.

DS loves his RNP.  He has slept all night in it next to me, since bringing him home.  Sadly, he's now outgrowing it and sitting up so we are transitioning him out and into his crib.

 
Renee- 37 DH - Chad - 39
2/06 - surprise pregnancy - twins
3/06 - m/c 1st baby at 6 weeks
5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!
Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
IVF - May - BFN
6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
10/13 - BFP!!
It's a boy! Clint Michael, Due in June!!!

Our son sleeps in it all night next to our bed. We plan to transition sometime around 6 months.

DS slept in it all night until last week (almost 6 months). He did not STTN but he definitely slept well in it and it was perfect for sitting right next to my bed.

We used it for 3m for her to sleep in our room and then after that if she got sick since the recline helped with congestion.  She didn't STTN until 6m old, but it wasn't bc of the RNP--she just doesn't like to sleep.
After 2 losses, DD born 9/6/11 ♥ Little sister due 7/5/13!

One of my girls slept in the RNP for 3 months. We still use it on occasion when they're congested and sleeping on an incline helps. Love the RNP.

When people ask what is musthave baby gear, I always say the RnP. We still use it while we shower for my 7 mo. old

I am the odd duck and say I hated the rock n play. She would not sleep in it at all. We used the swing until she was 5 months and then we put her in the crib.

We used the RNP to hold her while I was in the shower. But she would be able to "stand up" in at 4.5 months and it was useless for us.

My daughter loves to sleep in her Snugabunny Rock n Play.  We are trying to transition her to her crib.  And she is starting to sit up in her Rock n Play.  But for now, she is happiest sleeping in her Rock n Play.  And we even had diapers.com ship an extra Rock n Play out to my parent's place since we were going to be on vacation there for 10 days around Thanksgiving--it was a lifesaver.

Brown spotting, Beta 3735 11/25/09, Beta 5602 11/28/09. Anticardiolipin Antibodies now negative, still on baby asprin. On 100 mg of Prometrium (progesterone) until 10 weeks. Good heartbeat at 1st appt. 12/16/09. Started taking fish oil. Perigestational hemorrhage and red bleeding 12/17/09. 2nd Ultrasound-8 weeks, still a heartbeat 12/17/09. Baby measured 9 weeks, still a heartbeat 12/23/09. Good NT Scan on 1/8/10, heartbeat 164. EDD 7/28/10. TEAM BLUE! Aidan Thomas born on May 26, 2010. Baby #2, BFP 11/27/11, EDD 6/5/12. TEAM PINK! Noelle Elizabeth born 4/30/12. Blessing from God, Blessing from God, Blessing from God, Blessing from God.
