Our last name begins with a D. I used to love the name Daisy, until DH pointed out it wouldn't be very kind to give our daughter the nickname "double D"
For a similar reason, we had to veto "Jude" as a first name, since running together with our last name it sounded like "Jew D______." Our son is Jewish, but we felt like maybe he should have an identity beyond that
