For newborns I like the pampers sensitive then we use target brand diapers.

But you won't know how your baby will react to diapers and might want to try a few brands at first.  So, I wouldn't put too many diapers on the registry in case your baby has a bad reaction to them.

This! My LO is allergic to Pampers so we use Huggies. Instead of registering for diapers, you should "hint" to the person planning your shower that they need to have your guests bring a package of diapers. That's how my baby shower was and it was awesome! I had diapers for months!

We used Pampers for the first three months (tried Luvs but they gave Livi a rash).  After that I tried using the Target brand and they are awesome.

I wouldn't register for too many newborn diapers, if LO is over 7.5-8 pounds, chances are he/she won't fit into the NB size for long.

I tried pretty much every brand of diaper out there in the first month or two.  I liked Pampers and Huggies, but Luvs turned out to keep everything in the best.  We never had a "blow-out" with Luvs (we had several with the other brands), plus they are waaay cheaper than Pampers and Huggies.  However, Luvs does have a scent to it, which I had wanted to stay away from.  But I don't even notice now.  But I could see how some babies might be allergic because of that.  You never know what might give your baby a rash or not.

I didn't register for diapers--my friends who had babies before me ended up giving me so many when their babies grew out of them and they had leftovers.  Plus you will get a lot of gift cards that you can use to buy diapers with.  My advice is to register for stuff that you might not get on your own--you will always need to buy diapers, so get the other stuff while you can.

I've tried Papers, Huggies, and Luvs.

We used Pampers when he was in NB, 1 and 2, and Huggies in 1, but when DS was in Huggies size 2 I didn't like them. Felt like he was wearing a bikini, and he had a ton of blow outs. So we tried Luvs since they are so much cheaper and they work pretty well. DS has had a couple of blow outs but I think he would have had a blow out on those occasions regardless of the brand.

I registered for diapers but we ended up buying a ton in advance and he went from size 1 to 2 really quickly, so if you do get them or buy them, make sure you keep the receipt, most stores will let you exchange them if they are unopened.

PS: if you have Amazon Mom/prime you can schedule diapers to be delivered with free-two day shipping...it's pretty awesome.

I've used nothing but Pampers and swear by them. We've used the swaddlers, baby dry, and right wow we're doing the cruisers. I have to say, they're great, but they're ridiculously expensive. My sister swears by Target brand, she used them on both of her girls, so once I run out of diapers I will surely be giving them a try. They're so much cheaper!!!

We used Pampers for both our girls, starting with Swaddlers, and then the Cruisers. When DD1 got old enough for PT, we used the Huggies Pull Ups. I used other generic versions, and for some reason, DD1 just peed right through them. I always use manufacturers coupons at the same time as Target or Publix coupons for the Pampers, or even the Huggies, and save double to help defray the cost.

Pampers Baby Dry at night, Pampers whatever it is with the color pee strip during the day.  We mainly use cloth though.

We used pampers swaddlers for NB-size 2 and now she is in pampers cruisers. Our hospital also used the swaddlers. I tried huggies because we got some at the shower but I hated them, they always leaked.

We liked pampers swaddlers for NB but had lots of leaks after that. Target brand had been the best since then and they are a lot cheaper.

Pampers Swaddlers Newborn - size 3.  Although he's still in 3's and I think I actually like the huggies size 3s better.  Definitely huggies overnights (but they don't start until size 3).  I do not like Pampers Baby Dry at all ... have had serious leaks with those things including overnight.

I have some Target brand ones and they are good too.  I've also heard great things about Costco diapers.

My absolute favorite diapers (and I have tried almost every brand) was swaddlebees all in one cloth diapers. It's cloth but you don't need to stuff anything...you just put them on and off like a disposable except keep them and wash them. They hold 12+ hours a night, never leak,  and the easiest cloth diaper ever http://www.swaddlebees.com/Products/All-in-One-Diapers/Snap-AIO-Cloth-Diapers_10

They are worth registering for because they are $25 per diaper!

For my kids they leaked through Huggies, pampers caused a rash, g diapers were a huge pain, luvs were great and we use those with our cloth.

I did like Huggies pure and natural but they were so expensive and I needed to buy a "night time" diaper every month too.

We like Huggies Little Movers (burgundy package) and Target Up & Up.  Both of my boys have been horribly allergic to Pampers.

I wouldn't register for diapers...people will buy you diapers whether you register for them or not and you never know what will work on your baby.  Instead, everytime you to to Target or Walmart, add $15 onto a gift card and by the time baby arrives, you should have a nice gift card that you can start using for diapers.

We used Swaddlers when she was little and then switched to generics.  We've used both Target and Walmart and actually like the Walmart ones better.  With the next baby we will try generics right from the start.

I will say that we LOVE Huggies Overnights for night time.  You probably won't need an overnight diaper for awhile, but it's something to keep in mind.  They do an awesome job containing everything and keeping my LO dry for 12+ hours.

Pampers newborn to sz.2 loved them

Huggies little movers Love them never any problems. Same with Huggies night diapers.

CVS brand are Great! Night and Regular.

Up&Up Target we really liked but then they changed mfg and we dont care for them now.

Luvs are a Hit and sometimes a Miss

Pampers cruisers and anything larger than  3 tend to get droopy fast IMO.

The Huggies from Costco are fantastic

Parents Choice Walmart are horrible

We started with Pampers, then moved over to Munchkin, then switched to Luvs. I initially liked Munchkin and Luvs because they seemed to keep everything in and they were fairly durable (and not too expensive).

That being said, once DS really started moving around and crawling, we switched over to Huggies because Luvs no longer contained some of his larger messes.

I coupon too and wait until Pampers are on sales, use manufacturer coupons, plus get tons of points at the store which equals more free money for diapers. win win.
