How do you feel about Carter?

My husband loves it. I'm not wowed but I don't hate it.

Do you have any suggestions that are kind of close? NM would be Dean (my grandfather's middle name). Thanks.

I have a hard time getting behind "occupation" names, so I am personally not not crazy about it.

It's ok. Dean Carter flows better. I like some of the suggestions of Cooper or Connor much better.

I LOVE Carter! my absolute fave boy name and its not popular around here. I sadly couldn't use it due to my last name :(

I love Carter and Cooper. Of course DH had to point out the words that rhyme with those two, and vetoed them (didn't bother me none...)

I prefer it for a girl (I know a girl named Carter and it fits perfectly), but it's a nice name for a boy.

My great grandpa was Carter Kendall. My cousin is Carter Dean. I like the name Carter, and so does my family! I also really like the name Connor, though.
