The baby bathtub is a waste of space, time, money and energy. Just use the sink. We got one of those big bath sponges to put in the sink. It wrings out, can go in washer, and dries quickly in dish drainer. For those people who say ew, how dirty is your sink? Clean it. ;)
Bumbo- we liked it, but not a necessity either. They outgrow it quickly.
This, which is apparently the UO here.
We had a sling type thing that came with the crap tub we got, so I put that in the sink and it was great.
And yes, me cleaning the sink every day meant that she was bathing in something most likely cleaner than my shower. Nothing gross there. And it saved my back soooo much.
The Bumbo wasn't a necessity, but some people use it a lot for feeding or other stuff. Who knows, I might use it more with #2.
The recall was effing stupid. It tells you never to put it on an elevated surface, people did, didn't hold their kid, then got upset when they fell. We never used it on anything other than the floor and didn't have an issue.
I hate when people don't use common sense and then blame it on a product.
