For Valentine's Day (and, um, every weird holiday) I get him a cute shirt.   I love them, and wish now that I have saved them all, but I gave most of them away.   We make food-- usually pancakes or pizza-- into the shape of a heart.  We also eat strawberries or make a strawberry milkshake.

For St. Patrick's Day, we make animal crackers dipped in green almond bark, eat green eggs and ham, and he also gets a shirt.  :)  Sickening addiction, I tell you!

Other holidays are hard because we alternate e/o year with his bio dad.

How long have you been trying: Still awaiting AF to be more accurate with timing

Thoughts/concerns/questions: DS has started to wake up at 11pm and stay awake until 1am... I'm hoping this is not a developing pattern.  Time to STOP night nursing.  I think I need to buck up and let him CIO at this point.

GTKY:  Do you have any holiday traditions with your little one?  Or will you start any?    (Just thinking about this with Valentine's Day coming up... and St. Patrick's Day) Nothing yet because he is too small but I plan on having DS help me decorate the house for every holiday.  I always helped my mom and thy are cherished memories.

We probably won't do anything big for Valentine's.  I might make a special dinner or buy a box of chocolates for DH.  Not much I can think of for DS at his age.

For St. Patrick's, I make a special dinner and we watch an Irish movie and put shoes out.  Listen to Irish music.

My mom always gave me a stuffed animal on Valentines Day. Not one holding a heart or something valentiney, but a normal stuffed animal. They'd always be unique and fun, like an anteater, owl, elephant, koala. I want to do the same for DS.

How long have you been trying: This is the 1st month after TTA due to thyroid problems

Thoughts/concerns/questions: Could someone chart stalk me?  Does it look to you like I've ovulated or should I start up with the OPKs again to try and catch it?

Thoughts/concerns/questions: It's just a little scary adding a baby now that we already have a toddler. DS is definitely ready for a brother or sister though. So it's exciting and scary at the same time.

GTKY:  Do you have any holiday traditions with your little one?  Or will you start any? Last year for Valentine's day I bought one of those heart-shaped pizzas from Papa Murphy's and DS thought it was so cool. I might do that again this year. Not really a "tradition" but still fun to do.

How long have you been trying:  3 months (I have some medical issues and won't be able to stay off meds long.  That's why we are trying again right away)

Thoughts/concerns/questions:  I have talked about this in 2 other threads today, but it's still a concern.  I am having a period every 16-18 days.  I am hoping it's just my body regulating after baby, but the first 4 periods after birth were normal.  I have an appt with OBGYN next week.  I hope it's an easy fix.  We don't have a long time to wait Sad

FF says that 0-2, 0-1 timing is GOOD. That's what I got this cycle as well. I was hoping for 0 and 0+1 as well but we had the stomach flu - and well.... we did what we could.........hopefully it will work.

How long have you been trying: I use "trying" loosely, since still no PPAF. :(  But off mini pill since September, took Provera in December, trying hard to wean or change things up enough to get a cycle.  Nada.

Thoughts/concerns/questions: I really wish I could be one of those people who could let DD wean herself AND conceive again, but it looks like I will have to wean her completely in order to be fertile.  I'm pretty bummed about it lately, since she is very resistant to cutting out night feedings and I'm feeling guilty about wanting to wean one just to conceive another (without knowing if that would even work).

GTKY: Do you have any holiday traditions with your little one?  None that she remembers yet!

How long have you been trying: 4 cycles/5 months

Thoughts/concerns/questions: Starting to feel a bit frustrated and hoping I don't have another long cycle. I've been feeling a bit crampy and kind of icky overall since yesterday, but I am yet to get a + OPK. Just really hoping that happens in the next day or two, since I'm on CD 20.

GTKY:  Do you have any holiday traditions with your little one?  Or will you start any?  

The only holidays I will start or continue family traditions will likely be the biggies -- Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. We do acknowledge Valentine's Day, Halloween, etc...but really don't/won't do anything special for them. Maybe craft projects or something fun like that. 

ETA: After seeing pp's posts, I guess I do get her a cute themed shirt to wear on Valentine's... she's had one every year, even her first Valentine's when she was 2 weeks old!

Thoughts/concerns/questions: it's CD 31 for me and I got a BFN : Since I got my period back in October my clycles have been 35 then 30 days and I'm bummed that they're going back up in length. Plus I thought I ovulated on cd 18 but I wasn't checking cm and now I'm thinking it was cd 24. We hio thatday but that means I'm only 7 dpo. Ugh. I'm temping next cycle.

I'm still nursing DS on demand and while I've mostly cut out night feeds when he's sick I give in. Even so I still got my first pp af when he was 18 months. I had the same concerns as you and didn't really want to force wean him. Hopefully next month is your month!

Big Holidays like Easter and Christmas we have pictures taken with the bunny and Santa, etc.

EDIT: I dress her up for the holiday too. I just got her Valentine's Day shirt that says "Sorry Fellas. Daddy says I can't date. EVER!"

FF says that 0-2, 0-1 timing is GOOD. That's what I got this cycle as well. I was hoping for 0 and 0+1 as well but we had the stomach flu - and well.... we did what we could.........hopefully it will work.

Thanks! I had a free VIP trial last month at this time so I was curious. I was planning to HIO last night but was laying in bed and thought "eh" and fell asleep. haha

I'm still nursing DS on demand and while I've mostly cut out night feeds when he's sick I give in. Even so I still got my first pp af when he was 18 months. I had the same concerns as you and didn't really want to force wean him. Hopefully next month is your month!

Thanks Barcelonagirl for the encouragement. It gives me hope that others have been here, too, and that AF might still come back even without fully weaning. (And it's just nice to hear from people in the same position, either way.)  18 month mark would be just fine with me!

just starting to make some because she is aware now and can participate.  i would love ideas!

Not yet, but I will also do the food thing. Red heart shaped pancakes for valentine's day, etc.
