Waiting to make appts

Last cycle I had a chemical pregnancy around 4.5 weeks. I had already made all of my appts and gotten my packet in the mail and all the fun stuff.

I found out I am pregnant again :) but now we are both being cautious about making appts and plans and everything. Today is actually the day my last CP started so maybe thats why I am thinking about it.

Anybody else have that sort of feeling that had a loss beforehand? I want to wait like another week before calling and making my appts.

I'm so sorry about your loss.  I haven't been through it myself, but it seems that most docs try to get people who have had a loss in early- like 6 weeks- for an ultrasound and to check hormone levels...and you can be started on progesterone if your levels are low.

I know it's scary, but it might be worth calling your OB office in case they do want to get early labs.

That makes sense! Maybe I will give them a call tonight and see what they want to do.

Thanks!

Agreed, they may want to test your progesterone and take betas as well. which need to be done early

Congrats and fx for your sticky baby! I haven't been through a miscarriage, but I know I'm still hesitant to get too "into" my pregnancy because I'm only 4w6d right now. Still, I called the doctor about an appointment because the office is busy and only open a couple days a week with only one day that has evening hours late enough for me. Suffice to say, making an appointment at a time that works for me can be tricky unless I do it quite a bit ahead of time. Your office might not be as bad though.
