Nursery help/ideas?! I'm at a stand still >.<

So when I went in for my 13 week ultra sound my doctor asked me if I wanted to know the sex? And I said well yeah! So my doctor told me it looks like my baby is going to be a girl. So I've had it in my head that I'm gonna have a girl although it could change? Who knows, I don't know what the chances are of it becoming a boy but I guess there is a chance. Anyway, although the possibilities of me having a girl are higher than me having a boy I still want to do a Neutral style theme. I've already picked the color for the room which is going to be a Minty Green. (My thoughts behind that is that Pink & Blue match with that pretty well) But I have no idea on the theme, and it's driving me CRAZY. We've got the crib which has a Cherry Wood finish and all the furniture is going to have the same. This is my first baby, and I didn't think making a decision for this would be so difficult, and I want to pick a theme because I'm setting up my Registry so I want to know what kind of stuff to put on there as far as colors, animals, etc. I don't want to pick anything that's excessively girly (if it's a boy) and I don't want to pick anything that's excessively boyish (if it's a girl) I'm going in to find out what the sex is in about 3 weeks, but I think I'm nesting really bad and just want to buy a WHOLE BUNCH of stuff for the babies room. Any ideas? I was thinking about getting some wall stencils because I'm not an artist that can draw, I'm more of the Photographer type. Thank you for your help =) I appreciate it. 

*On a side note, I'm out of work, so all I do is sit home and clean and clean and think about the babies room, I think that's why I'm going a tad stir crazy maybe?

At 13 weeks, both girls and boys have nubs. Your doctor had a 50% chance of being correct. Wait until your 20 week ultrasound to make any big plans.

I also think you are confusing the word "nesting" with "excitement."  

I suggest looking at neutral nurseries on Pinterest or Google, and see if anything sparks your interest.

A nursery theme is really not that important. Just pick your furniture, pick a wall color, pick some cute bedding. If you don't have art, frame some of your favorite photos (or hang up some blank frames and put baby photos in them when the baby is born).

Plus, if you're going to find out the sex in three weeks, what's the big rush? If you just want to look, pick out a "girl" bedding set and a "boy" bedding set and put it in your registry. When you find out what it is, take the other one off.

Plus, unless you want the same theme for all of them, you can look at other registry items for now - carseat/stroller, pack n play, go to Hobby Lobby and think of some cute ideas for your theme when you decide. It's all good!

We aren't finding out the sex! Even if we were I've always wanted a "baby green" nursery!! I've got a lot of ideas that I've seen on Pinterest!!! I'd check that out. :-)

Oh & I forgot to add.... I do not want a theme!! I plan to decorate the room with canvas prints & a few other simple things!!

Decide on a color and go with that.  I want to use grey/yellow for a boy or girl and will add boyish/girlish things once we find out.  I will probably use stripes or dots or something like that.  

I don't want Winnie the Pooh or sail boats or anything theme like.  The reason so this is that the room can grow with the baby into the toddler years without having to change everything in the room. 

Do you have someone around you that can sew?  My sister offered to make our bedding so I will probably find a grey/yellow fabric I like and go from there.

This website is amazing for great nursery and decorating ideas.  I didn't go with a theme for the baby's room.  I already knew I was going to do a dark lime green, turquoise and orange accents with chocolate colored walls whether the baby was a girl or boy.  I hate pastels or anything too baby looking or too pink/blue.  We chose to do an alphabet theme with three pictures with funny baby related phrases such as "Crying is for babies...other babies", "Nothing says I love you like a clean diaper", etc.  The website has so many ideas that you can pick and choose from the different rooms in order to make your baby's room however you want it.  I could spend days looking at the nursery/kids room ideas on this website!  I also used this website to help remodel our home.  Very addicting!

We are having a baby girl, so I just added in a few pink and purple letters into the alphabet full of our three main colors.  I'm also going to paint older picture frames to go around the posters and a frame on a mirror to tie all the colors together.  Hopefully it will look cohesive without being sensory overload for baby Charlotte.
