Back to work/LO sleep habits

I go back to work Monday and was hoping to get some tips from you other momma's.  LO usually has his last feeding around 9-10pm and sleeps for a 6 hour stretch before waking up for his next feeding.  Once he is changed, fed and burped he just wants to play for a good hour to an hour and a half.  Do you have any tips on getting him to sleep faster as by the time I get him back to sleep it's usually 4-430am and my alarm is due to go off at 530am.

I would say "thank God" for that 6 hour stretch! :D My alarm goes of at 4:15, so that would be heaven!

As far as advice, do you swaddle him? I would say after you change, feed and burp, maybe swaddle him so he knows its not "play time". Do you keep it relatively dark in the room when all that goes on? If not, maybe try a light that isn't as bright. Also, white noise always helps my LO settle in.

Hope that helps!

After "bedtime," the nursery is always dark. We have a noise machine with a projector which provides enough light for feeding and diaper changes (possible exception of a messy poop, LOL). We don't really engage them beyond what is necessary for changing/feeding. The hope is they understand (on their level) this is sleep/quiet time and not play time. So far, it has worked for us.

We have twins in the same room, so we don't play in there during the day, either; there's just not enough space. When I was home, daytime activity was always downstairs. I don't know if that makes a difference or not...

My LO was the same way. since changing her after feeding made her wide awake, I now I change her when there's an ounce of formula left. She gets sleepy after finishing her bottle and sometimes falls asleep on my shoulder. Maybe that would work?

I change him before I feed him. The room is completely dark except for a little light and I usually rock him (he does not like to be swaddled).  I guess it wont be that bad if he continues that for me to lose that hour.
