Mood Swings

Hey all. So I have noticed the past few days or so I have been having crazy mood swings. I am happy so much of the day, but then I will just see of hear something that makes me go off. Usually I am such a laid back person with only the occasional passionate outburst, but recently I have been so much more easily made to flip. I could just be reading into it of course and just noticing things that touch a nerve.

My question for you all is what do you do when you are feeling moody? Especially when you can't be home with access to wine or whatever.

My moods have been all of the place since our MFI diagnosis in November. One day I'm hopeful and trying to look on the bright side. The next day is a different story. I just try to take care of myself on the low days and find little ways to get through it. But that's really all I've figured out so far: how to get through it, but not how to feel better.

I find that I get emotional around ovulation time but it makes me quiet, rather than moody. So far, I only had issues with mood swings last cycle. I just try to keep my distance from any potential conflict and not make any major decisions because I know I'm not thinking clearly. My DH gets a warning and he keeps his distance as well, but that hasn't really been an issue. I guess my main coping mechanism is to retreat and like PP said, try to be good to myself until it passes.

Maybe ovulation time is why I've had some mood swings the past couple of days. I was so weepy yesterday and CRANKY today. I feel really bad about it because my first graders won't understand hormones like DH will.  I usually try really hard to find things that make me laugh or smile.

LOVE!!!

This is so cute Sun!

Dez, I find my mood are really regulated when I commit to my daily workouts. Miss a day or two and I am all over the map, hot cold, up down just nuts.

But even if I can only sneak in 20 mins a day it mood regulates.

Hope you feel better soon.

I get moody close to when I'm due for a period. I find that taking walks helps a lot. Or a nice relaxing bath.

I get really emotionally sensitive around ovulation. I don't do anything about it except just let myself have a release and cry. I feel much better after than if I did anything else.

When on bcp I found I was up and down all month. Now I find I am more balanced except about 2 days mid cycle where I am at times the most irrational human being. I will argue that no the sky isn't blue and that kind of thing.

Last month, hubby being optimistic said "maybe these are pregnancy hormones" ooh that went down well! so when I got AF I informed him that no it wasn't preg hormones, I'm just an irrational *** at times!

Thank you for all your insights. I am now in the post BD glow and a little sad because DH had to head off to work. I am nursing some french Bordeaux (my first ever so I don't know if its actually good or not, haha) and watching some TV. I am feeling a lot better right now because DH is showing more and more interest in the TTC process. Before he left he said "Ok I did my part, now your job is to hang out and get pregnant." Such a cutie, lol.

Ha! I'm exactly the opposite. On BC, I was even-keeled the entire time. Without the artificially regulated hormones, you never know what you're going to get ;)

I've been noticing this a lot lately. I find the exercise this time of year is a real boost for the winter blahs, too.

I get mood swings before my period.  Someone can say the wrong thing to me and I will burst into tears.  I am into crafting and if I make cards or scrapbook it gets my mind off of things.  I should exercise but it's about finding what calms you down.
