Reed vs. Reid

Which do you prefer Reed or Reid?

This is DH's new favorite boy's name (until next week Wink ). I'm starting to like it but not sure on the spelling.

Reed, just makes me think of saxophones and clarinets. 
TTC since December '08 Dx PCOS and Endo lap to remove cysts turned into full laparotomy Nov. '09 4 cycles of clomid=BFN 1 clomid iui = BFN new doctor and a new plan august '10 - began 6 months of lupron depot IVF our only option for biological baby May '11 Decided we are moving on to adoption!

TTC 10/11. HSG 2/12 normal. DH's SA low normal count. IUI 2/12. BFP 3/8/12. 4/26/12 missed mc. RE consult 5/17/12. IVF #1 ER 7/13/12 53R, 41M ICSIed, 32F, 8 5d, 6 6d blasts - all PGD/frozen. PGD results 1 normal M and 1 normal F, 1 maybe M. FET 9/6, transferred 1 F embie. Beta 9/15 BFN. FET#2 planned for 11/2012 put off until 2013. Surprise BFP 11/21/12!!

I am partial to Reed!  It is our DS's name.  Reed is my dad's mn and was my grandmother's maiden name so we never debated the spelling.  They are both totally legit spellings and about equally common in the SSA rankings.

For myself, I prefer Reed because it makes the nature connection clear. Reid seems more conventional, which isn't me, but might be more of what you're after.

dx homozygous for 3 thrombophilias, poor egg quality, and most likely autoimmune problem. Anything I'm missing?
5 miscarriages, 1 exception DS born 4/10
TTC another miracle
3 failed cycles of clomid, 2 failed cycles of injectables, moving on to IVF 8/12
ER 8/20 22 eggs retrieved, 19 fertilized, 2 transferred, 9 frozen

Tests: TSH (normal), Prolactin (normal), SA (very slightly abnormal- RE not concerned)
Hysteroscopy (normal) and PCOS labs (negative/normal) 1/15/2013
2/1/13- HPT BFP but Beta Hcg was negative
4/4/13: Started Femara 5mg + Trigger + IUI#1= BFN
5/9/13- start Femara 7.5mg + Trigger + IUI#2= ???

I prefer Reed because I think of it as a nature name. But I don't have a strong preference either way.
