Blindsided at Monitoring appt :)

Some days are harder than others, this is one of those days ladies. Just got back from monitoring appt and was blindsided. She explained all my cycles progesterine has played nice, this one crept up to a 2.9 yesterday. anything above 2.5 is not ideal for your lining, and can cause implantaion problems. She verified with U/s today and saw some of my lining exposed. It decreases your pregnancy chance of 30%. She did advice it is nothing I did, and is common for people that respond very well to treatment. The good news is I will have at least 12 mature eggs prob. she is thinking a few more, so more than I ever had, but that came with a price. She said she had 2 cases where 1 couple had not FET ins/freezing so put them in and had twins. Another couple waited til next month and did fet and twins. I am 99% sure I will be freezing them all, and pray to GOD above that they make it to freezing/thawing trigger ton. and sat is ER, and I know this decision is tough, but I have to trust God at this point. I know there is a lot riding on if I decided to freeze all or not freeze all. Dr. reminded me of the findings of Fet and gave me a big hug. I love her. Looks et would be 2/26ish. I make the dinal decision when she calls me later. I refuse to let negative thinking come in, I refuse to let the seed of doubt of ever having a baby come in. I am going to dig my heels in and fight for this. I am tired, and feel like I have run over,but I believe in Rainbows!

Nothing ever goes as planned with IF. Im so sorry lady that your having to deal with this now. Silver lining, your getting a great number of eggs. I have heard that FET's have just as good if not better success rates than fresh. I wish you the very best with your decision.

Oh diva....I'm sorry you didn't get good news today. ((Hugs)) with whatever you decide, even if that means waiting to do a FET. I truly believe you're going to get your rainbow baby. Your positive thinking and outlook never cease to amaze me. GL and know that we are here for you.

Finished BC and not preventing since June 2010.
Actively trying for baby #1 since July 2011.
SA completed 5/29/2012. No sperm found.
11/12: Dx: Congenital Bilateral Absense of the Vas Deferens.
Genetic Testing needed as this is a mutation of Cystic Fibrosis.
IVF #1 with ICSI planned for 2013.
PAIF/SAIF welcome!

This is EXACTLY what just happened to me the other day!!! Basically, we overstimmed a day it caused progesterone to be released too early. My dr. explained that when estrogen goes up a lot, progesterone has to work harder to produce that amount of estrogen. She said when progesterone is released too early, it can cause the lining to start breaking down. I will most likely be doing a freeze as well. I am going in tomorrow to check my lining. I know how you feel and how devastating the news was. It's another bump in the road, that's for sure! But, hopefully just a minor bump, and we will have successful FET's! GL and hang in there!

Me (33)- unexplained MH (35)- MFI due to Vericocele. Straight to IVF w/ICSI 9/12, Antagonist = BFN c/p, poor quality blasts, tested sperm dna fragmentation. Results all good, yay! New RE for IVF #2- 1/13., Long Lupron. ER on 1/22 -10R, 9M, 9F. Transfer on hold due to overstimming. FET in Feb. 2 frozen blasts. Another BFN & another c/p. RPL testing all negative besides MTHFR gene, vericocle repair surgery 4/12/13-Bilateral Grade 3 Vericocele found & fixed, IVF #3 with PGS 4/13- 11R, 9M, 9F. Transferred 2 normal=BFN, 3 normal on ice Everyone Welcome!!!

Also, that's interesting that your doc said over 2.5 isn't ideal. Mine said 1.5 to 2 could cause problems, and mine was 1.89. Hmmm??? I'm curious what others say.

DX: DH (30) severe MFI, severely low count & low motility
Me (32): all clear
Appt with Urologist 5/21/12: exam, ultrasound, bloodwork all normal.
Testicular Biopsy with TESE on 6/8/12. good sperm found! (left side only) froze sperm, failed thaw test :(
Orientation for IVF/ICSI on 6/13/12. Waiting for the green light following biopsy results...results show adequate sperm production both sides.
2nd SA 6/18/12: sample is "adequate for ICSI"
Plan: IVF/ICSI July 2012!
ER: 7/26/12. 15 eggs retrieved, all mature.
TESE/TESA/aspiration from epididymis, no motile sperm found :(
froze all eggs, the saga of praying for good sperm continues.
8/3/12: 2nd opinion from MFI uro on biopsy slides. Suspects "partial late maturation arrest."
Plan: more SAs, third biopsy/TESE with frozen back-up either from DH or DS.
SA 8/17/12: Zero sperm
SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm
9/26/12: SPERM FOUND! 15 eggs thawed, 12 survived and were ICSI'd, only 3 fertilized normally. Refrozen as embies and will thaw in Nov. Please survive and grow!
All 3 survived the thaw on 11/15/12!
FET 11/17/12: transferred 2, one 4B, one 4C. Beta 11/30:BFFN
moving on to DS
DIUI#1 2/18/13,50mg Clomid cd 3-7, Ovidrel trigger, Beta 3/4/13: BFN.
DIUI#2 3/19/13, 50 mg Clomid cd 3-7, Ovidrel trigger, Beta #1 (14dpiui) 4/2/13: BFP!!!! 150. Beta #2 4/4/13: 420 Beta #3 4/8/13: 2691. Beta #4 4/15/13: 15,086
1st u/s 4/8/13 shows one gestational sac
2nd u/s 4/15/13 shows yolk sac, fetal pole and early heartbeat
3rd u/s 4/25/13: measuring right on track. Heart rate 148 bpm

sorry that your plan changed, but you are making the very best decision with the information that you have possible and that is all any of us can do.

Me; 35 DH 32 TTC for over 2 years First mini-IVF Sept 2011... Only 1 egg! ... BFN Switching RE IVF#2 May 2012 9 eggs and only 2 sperm, WTH! BFN IVF#3 Chemical... FML. 2 frosties. SAIF/PAIF ALWAYS WELCOME!!!!!

Sorry about the curve ball, but it sounds like you're in competent hands and with people who are helping you to make the best decision for you and for your future LOs.

5w3d loss 7/30/10 - EDD March 2011
8w loss 4/15/11 - EDD November 2011
8w3d loss 8/2/12 - EDD March 2012
4w c/p loss 10/29/12 - EDD July 2012

Long story: trying on our own + testing testing testing with 6 rounds of Clomid, more testing, injectables + TI, laparoscopy - one tube blocked, 2 IUIs with Follistim...BFNs.
RPL testing all normal, Karyotyping normal

Moving on to IVF.

IVF #1 April 2012 = BFN, IVF #2 June 2012 = BFP. U/S 7/23 = saw heartbeat but measuring behind. Follow up U/S on 7/30 - no heartbeat. D&C 8/2. Trisomy 12. IVF #3 Oct 2012 = Chemical Pregnancy

Phone consult with CCRM on 12/12/12 - ODWU 1/4/13 - both tubes clear(!) - AFC 24, AMH 3.2, FSH 9.6, LH 5.4, E2 25. DH has high frag rate but improved!
IVF #4 March 2013 CCRM. EP protocol w/ Menopur, Gonal-F & Dexamethasone. ER 3/29 & IMSI, PICSI. 43R 13M 10F 6blasts bio'd. CCS testing reveals 3 normals!!!
FET 5/31/13 of 1 4AA blast - thawed and expanded. 4dp5dt BFP.
Beta 9dp5dt = 181, 11dp5dt = 427

I had the same exact thing happen to me. My p4 was over 2 and my re said I had to do a freeze all. I decided I wanted to take the chance anyways and try for a fresh transfer. I was lucky and it worked; I know not everyone is that lucky. I did a lot of research though and decided I wanted to move forward (re wasn't happy but I was paying the bills and felt it was my decision). GL to you!

04/07/11- PCOS Diagnosis w/GYN. Put on Metformin (1500 mgs) 04/25/11- 1st consultation with RE (Confirmed PCOS & Anovulation)
05/09/11-HSG-All clear! 05/13/11-SA-Normal. Found out on 2/14/12, low Morph (1%).
06/17/11-10 days of Clomid (100, 150) No response.
07/10/11-03/20/12- 5 Injectable (Follistim) IUI cycles; 4 BFN, 1 C/P. (stims ranged from 11 days to 25 days)
05/28/12-Diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. 75 mcg Synthroid.
IVF with ICSI in June. BCP June 6-15. Stims (Follistim + Menopur + Ganirelix + PIO) 6/19-6/29. Trigger 6/30. ER 7/2: 47 retrieved, 45 mature, 42 fertilized with ICSI! 18 frosties. ET 7/8 (1 6AA) BFP! (+ HPT 7/13, 5dp6dt). 7/16 Beta #1: 123. 7/18 Beta #2: 252. 7/25 Beta #3: 3488; Ultrasound confirmed gestational & yolk sac!. 7/27 Beta #4: 8247. 8/2; Heard heart beat!! 6w3d=122.Beta # 5: 30,890. 8/9 U/S shows baby measuring right on track with a hb of 158. 8/16 Graduated from RE! HB 181. Elective ultrasound on 10/10 to find out gender. It's a boy!! A/S on 11/13 showed baby boy perfectly healthy & weighing in at 1 pound. 11/29 Diagnosed with GD @ 23 weeks. Collin was born on March 27, 2013!
