Third time moms or lurkers

Did you dilate any earlier with #2? I didn't start until 40.4 weeks with my first so just curious! ...and hopefull ;)

Nope.

With both girls, my last appointment had me at 0 dilated or effaced, yet both times, my water just broke. My water did break earlier with DD2, though (37w0d vs 39w3d for DD1)

Nope.

Last time I was 3 cm starting around 37 weeks.  As of yesterday, I was only 2 cm.  It doesn't mean much though!

Yes.  At 39 weeks I was 2 with #1 and at 39 weeks I was 4 with #2.

Lurking, but no. With DD I was dilated to a 3 at 29 wks. With DS I was dilated too a 2 at 39 wks.

dd1 41 weeks 2 days after 3 days of induction starting at 41 weeks

dd2 41 weeks 2 days after 1 day of induction start at 41 weeks 1 day.

dd3 - no signs of coming any earlier than her sisters.

My first and third both boys dilated very early 4 cm by 37 weeks but my second girl I was never past a 2 and she came one day early.

I was not dilated with #1 at 40 weeks, and was induced.

I was 3 cm by 37 weeks with #2 and delivered him at 38+6.

I'm 1 cm with #3 and have been since 30 weeks! 
DD: 6/30/09. Mild pre-e DS: 9/5/10. Normal pregnancy Diagnosed 6/4/12 with dermatomyositis. Currently on Prednisone and IVIG therapy. 9/11/12: Normal a/s for DS2. Yes I was 1 cm at 36 wks with first

3cm with my second and third at my 36 wk appt.

I have no idea with baby #4 since my doc doesn't do cervical checks till 37 weeks
Mom to 4 cute kids! 8 yo girl 6 yo boy 4 yo boy and new baby boy!

No. At my 40 week apts, I was not dilated or effaced at all. Had ds 40w1d and dd 40w3d.

I think I dialated a little earlier with DS #2 but I didnt start labor any earlier. I was a 4 when I went in both times. Had to have pitocin both times. Contractions had actually become regular with DS #1at 5 days past due but I wasnt progressing very much - and DS #2 was induced on his due date, but was still a 4 both times.

Dd 1 induced for low fluid at 41 2 days. 0 diliated 0% effaced.

Dd2 40 weeks fingertip and not effaced at 40 weeks. Went into labor on my own 2 days later.

At 36 weeks nothing. I should pass on the internals butI like knowing even though I don't progress early.

I'm a lurker and pregnant with 3. I definitely dilated earlier with my 2nd baby. My first I was 40wks 5 days and still 1cm. With my 2nd I was 38 weeks and 3 cm. We will see what happens this time. I think some of the dilation was a result of the location of my baby rather then my body. My first baby was sunny side up and never really dropped until midway through labor, my 2nd was anterior and he was on my cervix the entire time. Things went relatively quickly with baby 2. This baby is posterior, and I will find out in 2 weeks what's going on.nbsp;

Nope.

With DD#1 I was dilated to a 2-3 for about 4 weeks and had her 3 days past my due date.

With DD#2 I wasn't dilated at all when I had my 38 week appointment. I had DD#2 the following day after my appointment @ 38w6d.

Overall, being dilated means nothing. I plan on declining internals this time around because I don't want to work myself up over not being dilated, even though I know it means nothing.
