Post Partum body

My post Partum body sucks. Any tips for staying positive, improving it, or ignoring it. I've gone through this before, so I know it gets better. It just takes so long for me to get back the way I was that it is hard to wait the 9to 12 months to feel like myself again.

Give yourself a break! You just created a human being. I know it's easier said than done but its the best reason for a little extra pudge that I can think of.

Honestly it takes a while to feel comfortable with yourself again. I was doing P90x before baby and in the best shape of my life... Now I feel like a blob. The only thing that's given me some energy and confidence is going on a clean diet and doing yoga while baby naps. I can't exercise yet but its a nice way to stretch out. If you have ondemand they have free 20min classes under the Fitness section. Also protein shakes. I drink a meal supplement shake, Shakeology, every morning and it really wake me up for the day! Its kind of nice to have a routine for myself intermingled with baby's routine. Its important to be yourself, and mommy, too!!!

I tell myself that my stretch marks are the equivalent of a free commemorative tattoo for the time I was carrying my son. Dumb, but it kind of helps.

I like the pin going around Pinterest saying something like, "Your body isn't ruined; You're a tigress who's earned her stripes."  

Having a baby is one of the hardest things you can do to your body. Not just delivery, but carrying as well. Try to focus on that fact. I have such bad stretch marks that I literally have purple stomach/hips, so I have to remind myself that my body has been put through tremendous stress and that it'll take time to recover, just like any other part of life. :)

The shape of my abdomen changed drastically from pre-preg, and then drastically again from my last pregnancy to this one. Actually, I like my latest shape better than it was before my second pregnancy, but I miss my "zero pregnancy" bod a lot.

I have just tried to tell myself that I have a "mom body," that I look like I have borne two big healthy babies (which I did). That makes me feel better.
