Invite Etiquette

I am hosting a baby shower for my cousin and was looking at invite templates. All of them include registry information. I always thought it was tacky to include this on an invitation. Reading on google apparently because it is a shower including registry info is customary? I still feel uncertain...

Thoughts?

On a shower invitation, it's fine.  A shower is about giving gifts - so why not make it a tad easier on the guests and just tell them where the MTB is registered.

If you don't want to put it on the invite, you can include a different insert with the registry information. The shower invite is customary to have the registry info enclosed somewhere in the envelope. Its a shower to shower the bride or MTB with gifts. It is always a no no to include that information with a wedding invitation.
