Asher is Hebrew for happiness or laughter. I really like it, but mom says it doesn't "match" with our Irish last name
Joshua is the closest phonetic name to what Jesus would have actually been called (Yeshua). Love the meaning, but kind of bland.
Middle name for sure is James.
Which do you like better? (Sorry, can't make it clicky)
Joshua James McC (Called J.J.)
Asher James McC
I 100% agree that Joshua is kind of bland
I like Asher James! Who cares what your mom thinks? I would go with what you really like. Its a legit name, spelled correctly.
You could use AJ as NN, if that's what you're into. :)
I love Asher James!
Asher James for sure!!
DS: age 4
DD: age 2
Currently pregnant with our 3rd!
I love the name Asher! And matching is overrated. :)
I dislike nicknames using the first and middle initials.
Asher is nice but it's getting really trendy. Joshua is classic IMO.
