I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through the same thing in August. I had 3 positive tests, and when I was 4 weeks, 6 days, I started bleeding. The next day, the nurse at the dr.'s office asked if I was "sure I had a positive test b/c the one she just took was negative". I told her I know what 3 positives look like, thank you very much.
The dr. told me that it is very common for women to have chemical pregnancies, and to me, that is what it sounds like happened to you...I think some doctors don't actually 'acknowledge' them as being pregnancies since it is like a 'late period', and a very early m/c, however, the tests don't lie...
Just take care of yourself, and try again whenever you feel ready.
