I had the exact same thing at 29 weeks. I was having BH contractions every 2-3 minutes and spent the night in L&D. They gave me lots of IV fluids (which did nothing) and Procardia in pill form which did nothing until the 2nd or 3rd dose. Then they sent me home with instructions to rest until my U/S. If they haven't discussed this yet, you should request an ultrasound to measure your cervix.
My cervix measured nice and long at 5cm so the doctors just shrugged saying that they had no idea why I started contracting so much but that the contractions clearly weren't doing anything! I lay around the house for a few days after (mostly because I was soo tired after being up all night in L&D) and when I went back the next week the contractions had stopped.
Occasionally I start getting them again and I just force myself to rest ASAP instead of last time when I had been feeling "off" for a whole week before I finally realized something might be wrong.
My advice is to take it easy until you see your doctor again and then to ask them about an internal ultrasound to measure your cervix. They said that if the cervix measures longer then 3cm it shows that the BH you are having aren't preterm labor because they aren't doing anything.
Good luck to you and don't worry too much if you can! You are almost at 32 weeks (after which the risk for serious complications plummets) and combined with the steroid shots your LO should be just fine!
