I was told it was okay to start any time after the umbilical stump fell off. My LO is 2.5 weeks and still has his but the doc thinks it's about to come off. Being on their tummy can irritate the area before it comes off. Other people's docs may have said other things but that's what mine said.

On a play mat about when she was 1.5 weeks old.
She spends a lot of time being worn or on our chests/shoulder and she works out her neck a ton in those positions so I think that counts for something.
BLPL101:After her stump fell off. She LOVES tummy time and will spend 20-30 minutes doing it!
This. The pedi told us at her 1 month check up to start tummy time.
