Question about Linea Nigra.

I forgot to ask this, but a couple days ago I noticed a line on my tummy..that i've never noticed before unless i'm blind lol...well i do wear glasses -_-

it's not toooo dark.

but um is this a pregnant thing or is it normal for anyone? i'm 9 weeks pregnant.

and is it normal to be in denial about being pregnant? lol. i still can't believe it -_-

Yep, both are normal.  It's just the first of many odd and gross things that will happen to your body while pregnant :)  And I was in denial until I felt the baby move halfway through.

googled it:

Linea Nigra:

What is this? Linea nigra is the dark line that runs from your navel to your pubic bone. This is a line that may have always been there, but you may have never noticed it before because it was a light color. During pregnancy this line darkens and is possibly caused by the imbalance in hormones. It usually appears around the fourth or fifth month of pregnancy.

What can I do? There is nothing you can do to prevent this from happening, but after your pregnancy this line will fade.

Aughhh welcome to the many things that you will say....."what the hell?!" to during pregnancy! HAHA! It should fade or go away after birth.... I remember with DS in my 2nd trimester (on our baby moon in St. John mind you) my nipples got SO HUGE and dark! I mean to the point when I got out of the shower one morning I yelled "OMG, WHAT THE HELL!?" Which woke up DH, I cried... and he laughed.... Changes in the body are going to happen and the faster you come to terms with it, the faster you will embrace it all, roll with it, and laugh about it! It is ALL worth it :D

I wonder if this is less likely to happen if you are fair? I have difficulty tanning and I'm still blond.  I don't even have that line of dark belly hair that some women mention (the happy trail?).

I have seen it on many pregnant women. It is normal. To answer your question about it feeling real, in times like right now when I am having m/s I definitely feel like it is real but when I am feeling completely fine with no symptoms sometimes I am like, "oh yeah I am pregnant."

Yes...if you are fair skinned it is less noticeable. I am very fair and I didn't even notice it until I was in my 3rd Tri and even then it was very very faint.

I can barely see mine... in fact I'm not even really sure if it's there... and I'm in my 3rd tri. I am pretty fair-skinned as well.

I get really tan in the summer, so mine was really dark during my first pregnancy.  It never really faded completely.  I used to hate it, now I pretend it's abs, lol.
