Baby jogger city select ?

Does anyone know if the seat on this stroller reclines flat enough to lay a newborn in?  We have the bumble ride indie, and loved that feature when my DD was an infant.  This stroller is already so $$ that I'd rather not have to buy the car seat attachment if it can be avoided....

My SIL has the City Select. It came with a bassinet and the regular seat. She used the bassinet for when my niece was a newborn - 3 months and then switched to the seat. The other day she had her in the stroller and the seat reclined pretty far back!

Married my BEST FRIEND on December 1, 2007. Started TTC in March 2008. Found out we were expecting our first child in October 2008 - but had a m/c in December 2008 - resulting in a d&e. Met with a RE in May 2009 and set a plan - but conceived unexpectedly on our own! Our precious little Sophia was born on February 9, 2010! Lilypie Third Birthday tickers

I would use the car seat adaptor or bassinet attachment for itty bitty newborn. I started putting DS in the seat closer to 4 months old. Before i would use the car seat attachment and he often fell asleep in the car on the way anyways so it was an easy -didn't wake baby- snap the car seat in to the stroller

Mini pill, ebfing, and no AF ever.......16 months apart! Lilypie Fourth Birthday tickers Lilypie Second Birthday tickers [

As far as I know the bassinet is not actually included with the purchase of the city select. It is a separate accessory.
