What do you all think of Paulina for a girl-child?
DH & I met on a street corner, and one of the intersecting streets is called Paulina.
When he proposed, he did so on the same street corner.
I'm not sure if this is cheesy or sweet, but I rather like the name Paulina now because of our story.
I like Paulina and I think the story is sweet. I say go for it.
ETA: also I love the phrase "girl-child"
Not crazy about it, but I think it's okay.
Is it Paul-eena or Paul-eye-na? I always heard it Paul-eena, but then I moved here and we have a street named Paulina, pronounced Paul-eye-na.

Yes, all of this :)
MamaCBear:I like that it has a nice story behind it, but as a name I think it's pretty terrible. It reminds me of a 60 year old woman.
This.

I prefer Paul-eena (possible nn pronounced Leen-ah), but in Chicago, they definitely say it Paul-eye-na. Either way though, it's better than Winnemac (the cross street).

All of this again.
