WDYT about Riane for a girl? pronounced like Ryan...saw it on a show...
also thoughts on Stassi... (Stahh- see) also from a show... jc
ETA: we weren't going to use these lol just curious what others were thinking... and I do believe the girl Stassi is from Swedish ancestry (I think...)
swimiz500:Really dislike them both. I guess Riane is better than Stassi, but that is because Stassi sounds like it should be some kind of eastern European secret police force circa WWII.

Regardless of where Stassi is from, it sounds a bit too much like Stasi, the secret police of Eastern Germany. Not a beloved organization.
I don't like Ryan for a girl and I really don't like it spelled Riane.
I like Stassi for a nn for Anastasia, not a stand alone name.
Riane looks like someone really f*cked up the spelling of Ryan. And then proceeded to plaster it on a girl. Terrible.
Stassi sounds nice as a nn for Anastasia.
