"Dollar Tree" brand tests

Curious on your thoughts and/or experiences with the Dollar Tree brand tests (both the pregnancy tests and ovulation predictor tests).

Got a BFP using the pregnancy test with DD 3 days after my missed period back in 2010.

This month and last month I used the OPT's twice a day over the 9 days that I should have ovulated, and every test was negative.

I guess I have mixed thoughts on these cheap tests, however, my OB actually recommends them, and tells her patients not to pay the extra bucks for the name brand.

Thoughts???

I stopped using the expensive ones a few cycles ago. I buy the cheapies from Amazon called Wondfo's, as do a lot of ladies on this board. Sorry, I don't have any experience with other kinds. GL!

ETA: I got a +HPT with a Wondfo before a FRER or digital.

When I had my CP, the wondfos and FRERs picked up the pregnancy before the dollar store test. I'm sure they work fine, just not as early.

I ran out of wondfos last month and didn't order in time for this month, so I used the dollar tree OPKs. I had two days of positives (and a few negative) and am hoping to see a temp jump tomorrow. So in my limited experience, they actually have the ability to turn positive. Sorry that's all I've got. I've used the HPTs too. I've never been pregnant a cycle where I used them and they've never been positive, so it seems like that's working too.

Same here. From what I've heard they're just as accurate. Plus you could always back it up if you do get a BFP with a digi or FR.

Yes This.

This is me as well, but I am pretty sure that my doctor uses the cheap ones, and she took one in office when I actually was pregnant and it came back positive (I never saw the actual test though).

I have not used the OPKs but trust the HPTs completely. I got a positive result at 11 dpo my last pregnancy. I have never shelled out for a a digital.

I thought I would use their opks this time, but Target had a pack of 20 for about $15, so that was even cheaper.

I've never used the Dollar Tree OPK's. I have used Dollar Tree pregnancy tests though. I used them first with both of my girls. With # 1, I confirmed with a digi, but didn't need to with # 2.

I use the Dollar Tree brand for my OPK. Sometimes I get a fade in pattern, so when my test is the darkest, I confirm it with a digital. So far that has worked well for me. I think that they are pretty reliable and it is saving me a lot of money too !

I have used the PT and OPK 's and got a positive on both. I think they work. I confirmed the PT with a first response.
