More updates...with more questions

Okay, to recap: using progesterone gel, have a hematoma but doc didn't sound too concerned. Have been spotting since last Tuesday.

Occasionally, there will be a little red in the spotting, but only a few times. I have been getting some tissue. But the tissue is dark, dark brown and it's little pieces of it. I passed one very small, very dark clot late last night. (smaller than a pencil eraser)

What the hell is going on? What IS this? My right ovary was a little twingy yesterday evening, but otherwise, I have no pain. No steady flow of anything, just this weird dark brown stuff when I wipe. I figured the ovary was unhappy with getting poked at by the dildo cam the other day (I had no idea that thing was THAT big lol). I have had no uterine cramps.

I see the doc on Tuesday for my actual "first" exam. I'll ask how low my progesterone was, she might have me re-test, I don't know yet. H will be there with me to ask the questions I forget. I will be sure to ask about this weirdness, but until then...anyone have anything? While a miscarriage would break my heart, I can prepare myself for it. But this just doesn't sound like that.

No advice but I'm still praying for you!! I've been spotting daily too and I absolutely hate it.

Yikes! Yes, I'm sorry about the dildo cam. I have found that it was quite uncomfortable when I've had my dates with it. Definitely ask your doctor what is going on when you get there. I'm sorry, I don't have any insight as to what could be going on but I am really sorry that you are going through this weirdness.

I hope you get good news at your appointment. Please keep us updated! FX, T and P for you and your little baby!

If you've got a hematoma, clots/tissue of all different colors is totally normal.  I passed 2 half the size of my fist and can't even begin to list all the other shapes/colors/textures I saw as mine healed.

Holy effing crap.

This is slightly reassuring. The lack of cramping is what is keeping my hopes up at this point. I had never even heard of this until the other day.

Over the years, I've pretty much figured out if it's uncommon, it's going to happen to me. I can't just have allergies like normal people; they have to turn into double ear infections. I can't get dissolving stitches like a normal person; mine get infected and have to be physically removed (ouch). So, it seems right to me that if it's kind of uncommon in pregnancy, of course it's going to happen to me. Sigh.

I've been spotting too and it is so stressful...

It's been about a week. Went to the doctor - they said my progesterone was good at 22 so they pretty much just said no excercise or sex for a full week and try to take it easy.. But no word if they were concerned it was anything more. Just that my progesterone was fine. I guess there is nothing they can do... And unfortunately nothing we can do but wait.

I don't have any experience with hematoma, but I guess if your doctor is not concerned, then you have to try not to be too. Easier said than done, I know. AGood luck to you!

Hoping this will reassure you.

I had a miscarriage last year and passed everything naturally.  They suspected the baby had stopped growing around 6 weeks, but I didn't actually experience any bleeding until about a month later.  I went in for my 8 week check-up, they told me the baby had stopped growing and didn't have a heartbeat and to prepare for the natural miscarriage.  About 2 weeks after that, the spotting and cramping started.  The cramping was very intense until everything passed.

What you're experiencing doesn't seem to match up to what happened with my miscarriage so I hope that can help put your mind at ease...at least for now until you see your doc again.  Good luck.

I had a subchorionic hematoma and bled and spotted everyday all day for weeks 6-12 of my pregnancy. It finally passed and I have a healthy little 2 month old boy to show for it.

I also had a miscarriage years ago, it started as spotting and turned to heavy flow within 10 hours.

 Hope that helps...good luck!

It goes back and forth from light red flow to coffee-grounds brown pieces of tissue. I have minimal cramping, but I know the progesterone can cause a little of that, too. But it's never heavy, it never hurts...and from what I can find, the coffee grounds discharge is common with SCH's. Hopefully it'll just bleed out and everything will go along as normal.

Sounds like my SCH. I know how stressful it is to deal with the spotting and bleeding, so try to stay healthy and positive.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck to you!

Thank you. This really makes me feel better. I've been making a list of questions for the doctor tomorrow. Did they consider you high-risk with your sch?

Yup. Obviously we can't say for sure, but what you're experiencing sounds a lot like what I experienced -- I also had heavier red bleeds and severe cramping and everything is still fine in there -- LO is dancing up a storm! Hang in there and I hope it clears up soon.
