It's a boy's name.
I know a girl who recently had a baby and named the baby Cameron.
I thought she had a boy and genuinely did a double take when I saw it was a little girl in the picture.
Boy is my gut reaction.
But then again, there's always Cameron Diaz
carries1030: Boy is my gut reaction. But then again, there's always Cameron Diaz
This. I only know boys IRL. Sounds too masculine for a girl.
I love this name and I think it is a truly unisex name like Taylor. I like it for both a boy or a girl. If I was using it for a girl I would use a very feminine middle name.
I't a preppy name and I've known quite a few preppy boy and girl Camerons.
According to Name Nerds, there were 11,035 boys named Cameron/Kameron/Cameryn/Khamron, etc. born in 2011, along with 3,189 girls. So that's about 3.5 male Camerons for every female Cameron.
gimmietimmies:Boy. I also don't take cues from celebrities as to whether a name is boy or girl, since it's either messed up on purpose, or not their given name.
THIS.
And it's a boy's name. Period.
This.
HBirdie:Boy fo sho. Other than one celeb, I've never heard of/met a girl Cameron, and I don't think it works well. If you like the "Cam," though, what about Camilla or Camille? Similar but definitely more feminine?
PinkLillyLover:Boy.
