Thoughts on drinking during 2WW

PS. Talking about alcohol here just to be clear.

I was just wondering what people's thoughts are on drinking alcohol during the 2WW. I haven't been - I've actually been cutting down overall while TTC - but I was curious if others do imbibe and if there was a majority opinion either way. 

Married 10/10/09. Me: 33 DH: 36 Started TTC 3/12. BFP 7/9/12. EDD: 3/16/13. D&C 8/2/12. 7wk5d. Started TTC again 10/12.

I don't drink too often, so it is not a big deal, but I will drink in the 2WW.

If I'm past 8DPO and I plan on drinking that night, then I will test in the morning.

I'm in the drink til it's pink club also. If I am past 10 dpo, I will test and see, but if its negative...I will be drinking.

I never saw a reason to not drink over the past 20 or so months...  If I get pregnant, then I will stop drinking.

TTC #1 - Stopped using BC March 2011, officially TTC since August 2011
Dx: PCOS & mild hypothyroidism (me) & MFI
2 cycles Femara + trigger = BFN/no response. 2 cycles Clomid + trigger = BFN
IUI # 1 = BFN
Repeat SA - low motility & morphology w/ 99% bound by antisperm antibodies
Recommendation: IVF w/ICSI

Yeah, I asked this my first month TTC also, lol. Someone once said they are team drink till it's pink, and that is my new favorite saying. I usually have a glass of wine (or two) at least two times a week. It helps me relax and be less stressed over life, and particularly during the 2WW.

I'm definitely Team Drink 'Til It's Pink. I don't typically drink a lot(unless we're out with friends, because I then I can get pretty wasted) and generally I'm lucky to have a glass of wine once a week or so.

If there's any doubt, I always test before going out.

That is what I would do.  Supposedly you can email them to change it, but I don't think they actually respond.    Hope that helps!  GL!

I would just create a new profile with a new name.  The Bump Godz are very hit or miss on changing usernames.

I actually have been drinking more during 2WW than WTO these days. It's really about keeping busy, either at home or out with friends. And, if this is my month and I have to stop drinking, I don't want to add even more time until my next tasty beverage.

I actually am trying to abstain while waiting to O and until I get solid crosshairs from FF.  I don't want alcohol to mess up my temps.  Once I hit the 2WW I plan to enjoy some wine.  Team drink til it's pink.

My life will change enough once I'm actually pregnant, and drinking during the 2WW does not harm your baby. I might not get pregnant for months, so I'm going to enjoy my wine until then.

Speaking for myself, I completely cut out alcohol while TTC. But I am not a big drinker anyway, so it doesn't affect me much.

I really almost never drink anyways so whether or not to drink just isn't much of an issue for me. That being said, though, I wouldn't pass up a hot chocolate with Baileys on a particularly chilly winter evening at any time in my cycle, and I did have a lovely slushy mixed drink or a glass of wine during a couple of my 2WW's last fall, no regrets.

Hell yes I will be drinking! Gotta have something to make my mind shut up. Plus you don't share blood supply with the baby until week 6 I believe. By then you'd most likely have taken a test and stopped drinking.
