Nesting an indicator

I had heard somewhere, don't really remember where, that nesting was an indicator of soon to come labor. Anyone have any experience with that? I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and today I can't seem to do enough to clean my house!! I have all kinds of crazy energy to finish what needs to be done before DS comes.

I have had this for weeks now.  I clean a part of the house every day from sorting kitchen cabinets and spice racks, to full blown dusting the entire house, and vacuuming!  It is an indicator you are getting there but not that labor is going to happen tomorrow or anything!  Happy cleaning!

I don't think it's really an indication of labor, just that you recognize things will change and you get a burst of energy to tackle it. I've been in crazy woman mode for about three weeks now, right when I started getting my energy back at 32 weeks. As far as I know we've still got 2-7 weeks left to either full term or induction for being late.

Not for me, I always get the urge to clean and organize, then right before I deliver I am too dang tired to do anything! I agree with PP, you could probably take anything as a sign, as you are likely to deilver soon just based on your EDD, probably two weeks at the most.
Mom to 4 cute kids! 8 yo girl 6 yo boy 4 yo boy and new baby boy!

hehe true...I've been nesting as well these past few days, in fact when I'm out I can't stop thinking about what room or task is next part of me just needs something to make time pass a little faster.

I don't think this is true. With DS I started nesting around 30 weeks and with this one I have been nesting the whole time.

I have days where I nest non-stop and days where I do absolutely nothing because I'm too tired!  I don't think I'm close to giving birth, at least I hope not!

At 39 weeks I was a nesting freak and I thought for sure baby was on his way.

This is me. I've got a spotless house at the second (until DH and DS get to it) but I'm not feeling any signs of anything progressing....... It's nice to have a clean house....
