I went in for baseline blood work today and was told by my nurse that they would not call with the results since I still have the hCG booster in my system. I was supposed to go for my official beta on 1/31.
Well, I received a call around lunch from my nurse to tell me that I am officially pregnant! I asked her how they knew with the booster in my system and she told me that normally they see levels of 25-75 with just the booster and my beta came back at 176 at 7dp5dt!!
She also said that they wouldn't normally call but she discussed it with my RE and they decided that because my beta was so high and with my history of losses they wanted me to start on my PIO as soon as possible.
DH is out of town so I bought two cupcakes, one with blue frosting and one with pink frosting and took a picture of them. I texted him the picture with the following "I was going to overnight these to you for your birthday, but because I am pregnant, I am just going to eat them instead."
I am now cautiously excited...but for today I am pregnant! I am going to stick around until I have a few more betas under my belt.
Congratulations! What an exciting surprise! I love how you told YH. I hope those cupcakes were extra delicious.
FX for the next beta.
