I was invited to a shower over the weekend for a distant family friend. I was running to Target the day of and had remembered that there was something about bringing a pack of diapers for 'diaper raffle'. Not that I had any interest in being entered in a diaper raffle, but I figured I would pick up a small pack of diapers. I opted for Huggies because that was our preferred brand and I appreciated having different brands to try after our shower (where there was no diaper raffle, but some guests brought diapers).
I got to the party then walked in only to see a huge stack of Pampers. I double checked the invitation and they actually specified "PAMPERS ONLY" on the invite. I asked a close friend who was hosting the shower why she asked for only Pampers (family history of an allergy or something maybe?) and her reply was "She only wanted the most expensive diapers, not the cheap brands".
Oh dear.
mabenner1:Wtf? Sh!t like that makes me want to slap people. Is it bad that I hope her kid is allergic to pampers?
Haha, this thought secretly crossed my mind as well :-) Well, maybe not allergic, but I certainly hope they leak like crazy.
Wow. Although, I am pretty sure the Pampers aren't the most expensive, she should do her homework

Haha. If she wanted expensive, she should have asked for some type of organic, biodegradable, hypoallergenic diaper.
CNJ4EVA:That's crazy!nbsp; IMO, any diaper that you do not have to buy yourself is a good diaper!

This is EXACTLY what I thought, after the fact of course (you know, in the car, while I was shaking my head at the shenanigans I had just witnessed).
I personally prefer pampers, but I thought that pampers and huggies cost the same. I would have actually gone for the cheaper one. LOL. Maybe the host is a fool and it is not the MTB making that obnoxious statement.
I could see Pampers for the line down the center, but only the best = most expensive?
Although I do hear the cheap brands leak more often.
