Loss of appetite

I'm about 5 weeks pregnant and have zero appetite. I feel like I have to force myself to eat. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it normal?

Yes.  I am the same way right now....Its almost 1pm and I don't feel like eating at all.  I have a few snacks in the late morning but after that ...zero appetite

I've been the same way since about 5 weeks and I'm 10 weeks now.  I occasionally have a day or two where I actually feel like eating and things sound good but normally I have to force feed myself.  From what I've read and what my Dr. has told me is that it is perfectly normal!

I was like that up until my 12th week I'm 13 weeks. Before that I felt bad because I wasn't eating like I thought a pregnant person should. But I have gotten my appetite back and things seem to be normal.

During weeks 5 and 6, I had complete loss of appetite. Would have to force down even a few cheerios or crackers throughout the day. Needless to say, I was worried about not getting enought nutrition for the little peanut. I had my first appt at week 7 and doc said it was perfectly normal, and that a lot of women lose weight in 1st tri (I had lost 5 lbs since becoming PG). I can say that weeks 7 and 8 have been much better! I am eating lots of small meals/snacks all day. Still feeling fairly nauseous, and am very specific with what I want to eat, but at least I'm getting a lot down! I hope that you get through this quickly and start eating again! Just try small snacks and take it easy. Grapes and grilled cheeses were all I was able to start with!

Oh yea.  Food aversions sometimes means aversions to all food, lol.  Part of morning sickness.

I am at 5 weeks also and I feel the exact same way.  I thought it was supposed to be the other way around!  I esp. do not want to eat meat, veggies and other dry foods like pretzels.  I am trying to squeeze in those foods when I can bare it, and focusing on wet foods like canned fruit and oranges.  For some reason they go down better.  Maybe its the sweet taste.  

I also love grilled cheese right now.  I am eating them everyday and since it is not a junk food I am just going to go with it.  At least its food.
