Don't worry, you're good. I had no morning sickness and I lost a pound between my first and second appts. My OB wasn't concerned.

I still haven't gained weight and I'm at 16 weeks now. I'm still actually down a couple of pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. I saw my MW yesterday and she wasn't concerned at all. She said my uterus was growing just like it should and that the weight will come when it comes.

It's fine, you're not actually 'supposed' to gain really until the 2nd tri. And every person is different, some gain steadily, others in fits and bursts. Your dr will tell you whether or not to be concerned at your next checkup.

Also consider that if you're overweight, the weight gain goals are lower so its possibly a good sign you're not gaining yet. You mention being big so the weight gain goals relative to BMI are something to think about.

The only reason I'd worry in your situation is if at your first dr appt you were told you were UNDERweight and needed to make a concerted effort to gain weight. Otherwise, you're probs fine.

Talk to your doctor about this. They will know the best weight goals for you and your body type. Only if your doctor shows concern should you worry. Try not to stress because if your doctor hasn't mentioned anything at your last visit, you are more than likely just where you should be.

This is me exactly. I'm down three pounds still. With DS I didn't start gaining till after 20 weeks and ended up gaining 40 pounds (he was almost 10). Don't worry, it'll come :)

I will be 19 weeka this TH and barely started gaining weight at week 17. As long as your eating and drinking water, the baby is getting his or her nutrition

Don't sweat it if your OBGYN isn't worried. I have actually slimmed down during this pregnancy, and not by choice or design (rather petite to begin with). I eat like a horse! As long as you are eating healthy foods, and enough of them, shouldn't be an issue.

The general consensus is, if your doctor's not concerned, you don't need to be, either. 26 weeks, and I have gained one pound. I had almost daily morning sickness until 21 weeks.

There is no reason to worry. I'm about 17 weeks amd I still haven't gained any weight. I've actually lost about 10 pounds. Its normal. From what I have heard some women don't start putting on weight until they're in there third trimester. Stay strong and don't worry. :)

No I don't think so. I am also 14 weeks.  I was overweight when I got pregnant and lost a few since then.  Now I fluctuate 1-2 pounds, which is normal.  I was told I should gain a total 15-20 pounds throughout the pregnancy- at the lower end. I figure I am right in track because most of the weight will come in at the third trimester and should mostly be baby, placenta, fluid etc.

I had an appointment Monday at 15 weeks and I'd lost 4 lbs. from my start weight - and I wasn't overweight to begin with. My doctor wasn't concerned at all and said I shouldn't be either. I did go buy and greatly enjoy a peanut butter cupcake from the bakery that night : )

This is what gets me.  Why would you not listen to your OB and instead come on a board full of random internet strangers with no medical training... and what THEY said makes you feel better?

First tri I lost 8 pounds, I am avergae sized.  At 23 weeks I have only gained about 2.5 of it back. I am summing it up to eating better, small meals all the time, and cutting out the sugar and salt since it makes me feel kinda sick. Don't worry at all your baby is only about the size of a lime and doesn't weigh much yet.

Sorry, I didnt realize I was on DH account. but thank you everyone.

Also maybe seeing that there are actually other women going though it makes me feel better. I do listen to my doctor but sometimes hearing from more than one person makes me feel better. And you'll actually be surprised how much information these wonderful ladies can offer. Esp if one of them or a few of them are going though exactly what you are. Its nice to have support. Thanks!

I'll be 15 weeks Saturday and I still haven't gained any weight either. I don't think you have anything to worry about. We should feel lucky because this likely won't be the case in a couple weeks! ;)
