24 hour stay in the hospital

Long story short, it was very icy this morning and I fell on my back. I didn't initially feel any pain besides my knee. After about 20 min it started to hurt whenever the baby moved. I called and was sent to maternal assessment center. They monitor for 4 hours on any fall. At 3 and 1/2 hours I started contracting every 2-4 min. I received a shot to stop contractions. It didn't work and now have been admitted for the next 24 hours with an I.V. Of magnesium and 2 shots over 12 hours to develop his lungs. I haven't dialted so here's to hoping I can leave tomorrow. Even with the I.V. My contractions haven't stopped.

Hopefully they can get the contractions stopped. It sucks that you fell, but sounds like you did the right thing by calling your DR. Good luck!

Oh no, how scary! I hope everything works out okay... I'm sure baby will be fine, but it's hard not knowing exactly what will happen!

Contractions have finally mellowed out to 2-3 an hour. I have to say the magnesium and shots in the butt are no picnic! I have been given my last shot 20 min ago and now wait 12 hours to get taken off the magnesium. We'll see where I'm at after that point if I do okay I can go home. If I have 6 or more contractions an hour, I'm stuck. Worst part the magnesium. They lowered the dose because I was not breathing well and could no longer walk or even sit up. I'm so ready to be off it!
