Sippy cup

Chubs is almost 11 months old and I'm trying to get her to take her milk from the sippy cup but its not working. She'll drink from the cup but she'll still want a bottle at Naptime. She doesn't sttn either before she'd wake up once eat and sleep now she wakes 2-3 times but doesn't eat much, 2-3 ounces each time. How can I get her used to the sippy cup and adjust the Naptime bottle to a Naptime sippy cup. I've tried milk in a sippy cup with breakfast lunch and dinner. Her naps she still wants the bottle and she'll finish the whole bottle. Nighttime I understand a comfort bottle but I don't know if night time snacking is good for her. My older cousin recommended that if she's not waking up hungry, she may be thirsty and that I should try giving her a little water at night time wakings instead of formula....any opinions?

i want to get her off the bottle as soon as I can, my brother had a bottle until he was almost 2 and his teeth didn't grow straight and he had cavities at 18 months.

all advice welcome! (I don't CIO, tried it but I only lasted 15 minutes, heh)

Im trying to get LO to use a sippy cup as well.  She doesnt even want to hold her own bottle yet.  She CAN do it, she just doesnt want to!! ugh!  Anyway, my cousin had the same problem, her little man waking up at night not hungry, but wanting something.  She started giving him a bottle with water when he woke up at night because he could drink a little and suck on that instead of her having to stay away until he fell asleep to take a bottle of milk away from him, and that seemed to work really well for them.  Good luck!

My LO is almost a year and I'm not transitioning away from bottles yet so you're ahead of me. He still gets a bedtime bottle but I make sure to brush his teeth afterwards. He loves water from a sippy cup and does just fine, even drinking from a straw just haven't put formula in it yet.

Right now he gets 4 bottles a day but I guess we are lucky because he doesn't need a bottle before a nap. In fact, the way timing works out, he usually has a bottle AFTER he wakes up from a nap. Hopefully our pedi has some suggestions about the transition at his 1 year appt in a couple weeks. I'm no help to you... :(

I'm trying to get my LO to use a cup right now too. She hates the nuby cups because the mouth part is too big. But yesterday I got the nuk learning cup and she loves it. I think it looks pretty much like a bottle but she really likes it and I guess it makes the transition from bottle to cup really easy. Good luck.
