top 3 girl names

Hi ladies, wondering what you think of our current contenders... Which is your favorite? We are not pregnant yet, TTC, but DH and I love talking about baby names :) I don't want anything overly popular, and while a couple of these are gaining I don't think any of them will be in the top 50 any time soon. (I hope!) Last name is common and one syllable. All middle names (and Rose) are family names.

Eden Rae
Penelope "Penny" Jane
Rose "Rosie" Emeline 

Another question: if we use Rose, we would call her Rosie almost exclusively. I just don't feel good about using Rosie as a given name. But since our last name is one syllable does Rose ____ sound too boring, no matter her nn? I've thrown around the idea of using Rosalie for a given name? Thoughts?

I like them all.

I wouldn't necessarily pair Penny with Jane, I'm humming Penny Lane even as I type this.

Use Rose, she'll thank you one day for not giving her a nickname as her full name.

Hmmmm.

I think I like Rose Emeline the best. Rosie is adorable. I also like Rosalie as a formal name. I vote this.

Penelope Jane (Penny) is my second choice. I would pray she did not want to be called P.J. though.

Penelope and Rosalie are two of my favorite girl names, but H won't agree to them. I prefer Rosalie to Rose, but I don't think Rose would be bad as a given name.

I love your style!  My favorite on your list is Rose because I think it's the most "trend-proof"

I agree that if you have a short 1 syllable LN, you might want a longer version of Rose.  Love Rosalie, but what about Rosemary, Rosalyn, Rosa or Roseanne?

I like all of them! I think Penelope nn "Penny" is my favorite! But whatever you choose, those are all very pretty names.

I vote for Rose Emeline! I love Rose and Rosie. Rosalie is nice too. I do not think Rose is too boring with a simple LN. Lots of people want to "fancy up" their kids' names and end up with some hot messes.

Eden Rae and Penelope Jane are okay. I don't like Penny at all.

I like all three but would pick Eden. I like it paired with Jane.

If you go with Rose name her that. My sister is Rose and went by Rosie when she was little but as an adult uses Rose. By the way she loves her name.

Nice names. I love Penelope. It was a top contender for us for a girl. I also love the nn Rosie. We had Rosemary on our list with the nn Rosie.
dx homozygous for 3 thrombophilias, poor egg quality, and most likely autoimmune problem. Anything I'm missing?

Eden is a GP name for me, so it gets my vote, but Rose is a VERY close second. Not a fan of Penelope at all.

I don't think Rose is boring, even with a one syllable last name. I much prefer it to Rosalie.

I like all of your FN choices. If I had to pick one, I would go with Rosalie. Rosalie Jane would be cute.

Those are all good names. I do agree with other people about using Rosalie. I think it would be beautiful. I love Penelope. My third choice would be Eden Rae. Rae is just nms, but this name together works for me.

Rose Emeline is my favorite but I do love the idea of Rosalie as the FN. Definitely not Rosie as a FN though.

Thanks for all the opinions and suggestions!! I'm glad to hear that the overall feeling is positive :) 

FWIW Penny wouldn't be the only thing we called her, we would also use Penelope. With Rose/Rosalie, it would almost exclusively be Rosie. We'll keep tossing around the idea of Rosalie... I just think Rose is so much prettier. We have time ;) Thanks again!
