Belly Bandit?

Any STMs use the belly bandit after giving birth?  Did it work?  There are mixed reviews online and I thought I'd ask here before I buy.

Lurking from second tri but I did use it with my second son and it worked really well. I didn't use it with my first son and the difference between the 2 was amazing. I loved wearing it under my clothes; it took away the belly and it also supported my back really well.

That said, I've heard that some people have problem with it digging into their ribs. I am 6 foot 2 so have a long torso and had no issue with it. Not sure if you really need the belly bandit though. I lost mine and think that I will just go get the medela one this time. I think any "binding" at all helps and that its not necessary to spend so much.

PP, if ppl are saying it digs into their ribs, they are wearing it too high. You want it to sit on your lower belly cover your hips a bit

If you are petite that cant be avoided because the regular size belly bandit is too long for your torso. Get the "BFF" version which adjusts to a shorter frame.

OP, all my momma friends swear by it, and I've seen their results firsthand. I plan on ordering mine this week.

Thanks for asking this question!  I've been looking at them as well, along with just regular waist cinchers.  I have a waist cincher from my wedding but there's no way I'll fit it right after the birth so I think I'll get the Belly Bandit to use until I feel comfortable fitting into the other.

Just reading the marketing material from this thing.. it doesn't actually HELP you lose weight, right?  It just hides your tummy until it is gone?

Yeah, it doesn't lose the weight but from what I read is that it tightens things back up.  It sounds like it is essentially a corset.

I am not sure what size to order.  I was a size 4 pre-pregnancy.  I'm thinking of getting a medium?  Anyone have any insight on sizing?  From what I read, I may need the medium at first but will eventually have to go to a small.  This is the part that sucks because they are about $60 a piece.  I wish they sold a 2-pack.

I used it with DD and loved it.  I'm getting the BFF this time because I'm short and I think it will be more comfortable.  I wore it low on my hips but height wise it's one size fits all so it still came up pretty high.

It doesn't help you lose fat, but the compression helps with swelling, water weight, and getting everything to tighten back up again.  For me the support felt nice and I definitely felt like my ute shrunk back down quickly.  I would recommend!

They do sort of sell a 2 pack, it's the bandita special and it's a discount on two bamboo ones.  I got it last time, but like I said, I think I'll spend a little more and get the BFF.

I was a 4 pre-pregnancy, too and ordered a small.  I've heard from several people to order a size smaller than you think you need.
