About Dh's

I'm trying not to make this corny, but with so many trashings of so's and dh's I thought this should be said.  I know they aren't always perfect but can we just take a moment to recognize the incredibly sweet and understandable things out so/dh's have done to help us through pregnancy? No he doesn't always understand what i'm going through, but my DH has been the biggest support for me through it. Any other ladies out there?

I haven't been around much so I missed the SO-/DH-trashing, but I'd never trash him. He's a huge help and is wonderfully understanding. Go, DH!

I'll brag on my DH :)  He's been so supportive.  He's so good at doing his research and reading his baby books.  I always come home to a clean house (he works from home).  If I cook dinner, the dishes are done even before we eat.  He hates my two dogs... but takes care of them/walks them while I'm at work. We love shopping for cute baby things together, and we still have our weekly date nights.  BUT... even despite these fantabulous things... he can also be a pain in my rear and annoy the heck out of me at times (the pregnancy hormones don't help).  He has some other issues and is not perfect.... but who is?!  I still love the man to pieces!!

I had the flu at the end of December/ beginning of January and a nasty upper respiratory bug at the end of January that I'm still recovering from. On top of the nausea. DH has had to pick up a lot of slack. I think Valentine's Day is the first time I've cooked a dinner since Christmas.

He has no idea what it's like to be pregnant nor do I expect him to understand, but he's also not an idiot. He's admitted before that being pregnant and giving birth is something he's happy to not have to experience.

My DH has been pretty great...I was pretty much out of commission for 8 weeks due to HG and he really picked up my slack! He went to the store, cleaned, did the laundry, ran errands for me.  He's very excited for this LO and has been a great support so far!

I'd never trash my DH. He's been absolutely wonderful this whole pregnancy, and he has been nothing short of amazing. I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful man to spend my life with.

However, unfortunately it does really seem that a lot of women have legitimate complaints about their husbands' behavior, and I definitely think think they are justified in their venting.

This. My husband is very thoughtful since I have been having a really tough pregnancy with nausea, flu, you name it...! I feel like I have barely kept up with anything I normally do after I work full time like cook, clean, etc., He even folded my 2 loads of laundry that I have done in the last 5 months without complaining. So many reasons to appreciate our husbands/SO for during this process!

My DH is wonderful. He's supportive and tries to be as involved as possible with the pregnancy. I love him to the moon and back and can't wait to see him interact with our little girl, he's going to be a wonderful Dad.

My DH is the most incredible man. I thank his parents all the time for raising such an amazing man. At our wedding my dad gave a speech and gave a shout out to his parents for how great he turned out. He works hard. He cooks, cleans and does laundry. He does anything to make it easier on me. He has been incredibly supportive. I feel very lucky that our children will get to have him as a father.

My DH is amazing. He cooks dinner pretty much every night, always cleans up after the cats (even before pregnancy), takes care of the dishes 99% of the time, and has been doing laundry a lot lately also. Not to mention he's been making most of the grocery runs on his own. He doesn't give me a hard time when I don't want to do things because I'm tired or don't feel well. I seriously couldn't ask for anything more!

I always try to praise my husband. This is my third pregnancy, so he doesn't "cater" to me as much as the first one (no running out to get a random craving for me), but he doesn't complain about how much I'm spending either. This is our first and only girl, so I have splurged more than I thought I would, but he hasn't said a word.

The room is finished (with a brand new closet installation and every possible surface painted) and any furniture that needed put together, was finished before I could even fathom of asking him to do it. We had a few rough patches with the first two pregnancies, but this time around, it's great to be older and more settled in our relationship (married 10 years) and have a true partner instead of someone I feel like I'm nagging nonstop.

DH is an AMAZING husband and father.  Even when I'm not pregnant, he's so hands on and often times, our family responsibilities are 60/40, with him pulling more weight. Bless him.  Now that I'm pregnant (#3), he's stepped up even more.  I am miserable and sick, so he cooks dinner, cleans and does bedtime with the kiddos, while I sleep.  He does mornings and often times picks them up after work.  This weekend he's taking them out for the day so I can go to the spa :)   Love that man and I hope that he knows how grateful I am for him.

My DH is pretty freakin awesome. I may get annoyed and impatient with him sometimes, and he takes it like a champ. He has really picked up the slack for me (what with m/s, back pain, pelvic rest, etc) and has expected nothing in return.

Being our first pregnancy, I'm very impressed, and I can't wait to see what an amazing father he will be.

I haven't seen a lot of negative DH posts?

I love my husband. He is a great partner, father and provider. He helps out around the house and I don't have to ask. He's thoughtful, creative and romantic. I feel like I hit the jackpot!

While DH and I have our differences when it comes to his mother, he has been my rock throughout this pregnancy and everything else. While my emotions haven't been crazy, I know my weight gain has really gotten to me. DH always manages to make me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, which does wonders for my self esteem (I've always battled my weight). He is always incredibly patient with me, and when we do have our disagreements he is always open to discussing things, and always tries his best to keep the lines of communication open. Thank goodness for DH or I would lose my sanity.

I feel so lucky to have my DH.  We spent 6 years trying to conceive, and we worked hard to not let infertility push us apart.  We've been through so much in that whole process, and again now that we're finally expecting...and he has been my rock.  Are there times when I want to choke him?  Of course!  But I'm positive there are times he'd like to choke me too...lol!  He has held my hair and rubbed my back through morning sickness, let me sob when we found out I had a hematoma in my uterus early on (thank goodness all was still well), and he has stepped up everything he does around the house to make sure it all gets done, even when I can't help. He even brought me a cookie monster bib after my last OB appt. when I found out I was having some issues with BP & protein spilling that said "Tough Cookie."  He told me that our baby was a tough cookie, so mama has to be one too.

I can't say one unkind word...I feel like the luckiest girl on earth.

In 1st trimester he was very understanding of how tired I was. He let me take naps and was understanding if I was too tired to cook, he said that it was ok because I was already cooking a baby lol. But thankfully I'm getting my energy back.
