trying to stop pumping

I EP and have a horrible oversupply. I am trying to stop pumping and need help with how to stop. I'm engorged and lumpy within one hour of pumping. I have been pushing it to 2 or 3 hours though until I can't stand it, then I pump 3 ounces or where I can get the painful lumps out, which I think are clogged ducts??? I'm scared of mastitis so I don't want to just go cold Turkey, not sure I could if I evern tried. Cabbage, benadryl, just taking a little and pushing it as long as I can between pumps I'd not working to reduce supply. Can someone please help me?!

How old is you LO? I have oversupply as well and it has gotten better now but the first 6 weeks were very painful. I would wake up every day with throbbing massive painful breasts. This still happens although not as bad. Your supply will level out but it will take time.

You also need to start shortening the amount of time you're pumping, so that your supply doesn't keep getting stimulated. Also, benadryl won't dry you up-sudafed will.
